Attended many rallies,protests etc. Just rescued a 5 wk old kitten in very bad shape. Getting better after meds and gave her a bath. Also, check out home Depot and lowes. A few yrs back there were 2 dogs in the sun in the back of a pick up truck with no lining in the cab and no covering,it was 100degrees. Those dogs were in very serious condition. I went to the front register and had them make an announcement. Give the make & license plate no. Believe me it works. Walmart always has dogs in cars there. It is so sad for the dogs. Some people will respond with thanks and some get irate. But NEVER GIVE UP. You saving a dogs life. You can keep me posted if you want. Take care

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) A dog, what about these idiots that leave their children in a car......yes, it's awful that someone would leave a pet in a car, but even worse leaving a human in one. Maybe you should add Children to your message, it wouldn't hurt, and could possibly save a life.
@Michaelatky9 жыл бұрын
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) must say i don't much like The Orginazation PETA because I have heard and witnessed some really bad cases over stepping boundries by PETA you guys come after people like vicously for pretty much nothing. But Saying that imho poeple who do this kind of stupid stuff needs to be locked up I mean really how stupid could someone get I mean if you won't sit in that hot ass car what makes someone think it's okay to allow their supposed beloved pet to sit in it? I can't stand people being cruel to animals especially when I know it's just out of stupidity and not out of hatred or Malice of the animal.. I love animals and to me i think what we do to wild animals is much worse than we as humans have ever done to domesticated one's take lions,bears,elephants,dolphins etc.. we kill some just for the skin or part of the animal not for food or anything then others we lock up in small cages and allow kids to taunt them. and others still we have hunted or just killed into extinction. I think all zoos are evil i also think sea world should be shut down. if you want to protect endangered animals than proscute poachers by giving them life in imprisonment for their first offense.. oh btw never understood why we humans feel the need to tame or try to domesticate wild and dangerous animals such as tigers and the like..like those tigers who killed some trainers a couple of years ago. everyone acted as if the tigers was to blame! how does that make any fucking sense?

There is more child deaths in cars from heat because of negligence of parent or parents than there is of dogs. The truth is you shouldn't leave any living person or animal who can't open the doors in a hot car, that's what I hate about PETA they make some good points when it comes to animals but problems like these are universal.
@shobin059 жыл бұрын
mackjeez I find your argument to be quite silly. I'm not a tree hugger but of course they are going to advertise the safety of animals, thats the entire point of their organisation. In the same way you dont look at road safety videos and expect any of them to talk about the safety of animals.
@Bayougirl789 жыл бұрын
mackjeez PETA is not claiming there are more dogs dying than children.... this particular video happens to be about pets.... There are plenty of videos out there about not leaving children in cars as well.... Also, could you provide some sources or statistics to back up your claim that more children are harmed from this than pets? I'm not saying I don't think it's possible, I would just like to see some numbers

+mackjeez i know parents leaving kids in hot cars is a problem but it is PETA (People for the ethical treatment of animals) not PETH (people for the ethical treatment of humans).

James Stewart When you point out a problem that is universal in nature you do not go out of your way to make it seem that it's specific to one type of category. Look at the video of baby vs dog in car experiment, in 1 hour , only 1 person stopped to check on baby while in 30 minutes 3 people came to dogs rescue calling police immediately and one person even smashing the window. That's the difference, society is distorted, a child's life is seen by many as worthless.

pmsl, you can't sue me for breaking your window to save a life, this proves you have zero idea about how this works. I see an animal trapped in a car during a hot day, I take pictures of the car and phone police + animal rescue services, I then (most likely while on the phone to the police) smash the window and get the animal out in order to save it's life.

About 12 years ago, I was coming out of a WalMart in Brevard, NC and it was about 80°. I noticed a dog in a car panting, then it seemed to be getting weaker. I sat in my car with windows rolled up & it was near unbearable after 3-4 minutes and I called 911. I went to the car the dog was in (I have a physical disability that limits my strength and no others to help) and thought if someone didn't come soon, the dog may die. Ten minutes later, the police came. I told them it had been near 30 minutes since I'd noticed the dog and it was weakening. The cop was younger, making a shoulder shrug that it wasn't that hot. I told him of me sitting in my car w/o windows and how stifling it had been. It was another 10 minutes for that dog when the owner finally came out. The poor dog didn't or couldn't get up to greet its owner and the cop told him I had called. (I was up there to house/dog sit for three weeks, both dogs home while I had to go into town and loved them as if my own.) The owner wasn't pleased by my actions, telling the cop he'd only been gone for 10 minutes. That math does not add up. The cop's conspiracy lean toward the owner, as if speaking behind his hand about my "trouble making" call as "it's not that hot out here, she's making something out of nothing." The dog STILL had not moved from its prone position on the seat. *Finally* the guy opened the car door but still, not an enthusiastic greeting to the owner. I was admonished. I wanted to tell *both* of them to get in the car and sit for the next 40 minutes with windows up and no air. I was SO ticked off!

Even when the windows are cracked open has no relief including other degrees of open space to full open while in direct heat and sunlight upon the vehicle...heat injuries can still occur like dehydration, heat exhaustion, to the fatal heat stroke fatality... I've seen in hot cars besides animals...children and seniors left in the car... Anyone person or mammal ends up having heat exhaustion injury cannot tolerate heat for life... I know this after my heat injuries during my military service and what the doctors have told me that I will have a lifelong intolerance to heat that can vary and will have a better tolerance to the colder temperatures...and that is all true. Best to leave pets at home in good shelter both inside and outside w/ freshwater and food...if you have air conditioning unit, swamp cooler, and fans - use them...

I remember the news of the Chinese woman that accidentally locked her baby girl inside a BMW and refused to let the firefighters break the window and insisted they wait for the locksmith to arrive. The firefighters finally broke the window despite the woman still against it because the baby passed out from the heat, they waited even though the baby was crying the whole time.

I understand that leaving a dog in a hot car is messed up but this shit is so fake. He is an NFL athlete who plays in the Arizona sun in full pads. If he can't last even 20 mins, then he shouldn't even be going to practice.

its different being locked in a car.
@Brianalarcon6548 жыл бұрын
Are you stupid or dumb
@Nu_Wen8 жыл бұрын
the difference between the two is how much you can move around and how much of a breeze there is. you can neither move around nor feel a natural breeze in a car. at least outside in full gear you can still run around and your sweat will take care of you temp wise. in a car with no AC or open windows you are left with your own hot breath drenched in your own hot sweat, remember, that sweat has nowhere to evaporate to, so that car will be humid as well as hot.
@Nu_Wen8 жыл бұрын
It does in some part. Humidity makes it hotter and harder to breath.

Adam Peck Not sure good question though, but that fur allows them to be outside for awhile in winter without feeling cold so it must be thick.

dudeathischair22 People can definitely crank the A/C when they're hot, but this video illustrates how quickly a car can heat up when you CAN'T use the A/C - which is the case for dogs locked in cars.

@morbidmorgan40499 жыл бұрын
Maybe... it depends on the owner of the car
@Bayougirl789 жыл бұрын
sean bayer Depends on where you live. Some cities and states are actually cracking down on this, and if you call 911 and tell them what is happening, they will ask you about the condition of the dog or child. If they are in distress, and the police are worried they may not get there in time to help, they can instruct you to break the window while they are on their way.
