Trading does not just comprise buying and selling. It should include setting up goals, building a portfolio, choosing the asset groups. The trader needs to learn the technical skills of understanding charts, fundamental analysis, risk management skills, etc. I don't recommend day trading as the computer algorithms have dominated the market. How about control of greed and fear? It took me many years to learn the technical analysis and the fundamental analysis, and how to overcome fear and greed. How to select stocks from hundreds ? How to generate trading ideas? How to discover the trend? This needs one to spend some time on the learning curves and finding out their sweet spots. Trading successfully requires serious risk management skills, i.e. the use of your capital wisely. Short term trading is difficult so I adopt long term strategy, and need not worry about the short -term fluctuations. If one does not spend 3 years in practice, and experience losses, it is hard to make money. Some friends go to stock transaction companies daily but they never can tell me what are their trading skills!

not getting caught up in the noise & staying confident in the strategy one has developed! The noise can also hamper learning. The noise makes one's decisiveness weak. But..... I''ll get there .... in that good stage soon enough. I notice that I manage to limit more & more trade failures. Good video. Thanks

For crying out loud, this is all guesswork! Some people will be trading profitably after a month, others after a year and some people never. The figures are presented as authoritative, but they are guesstimates!

I know my currency pair GBP/NOK well, because I watched it every day in newspapers, years before I saw any charts. I didn’t know anything about support and resistance, but I knew from newspapers where is the top and the bottom. First time when I saw it on the chart, I was thinking; what is this mess? People say if you can make profit 20% per year you are a good trader. If you have a capital for instance $10k and open only two trades per year one contact, you can make 100% on these supports and resistances. The thing is, if you can hold it long enough. Last week GBP/NOK resistance 11.25 dropped 200 pips straight. Watching one market very closely is the key. If you have $10k account, those 200 pips is 25% gain with one contract.

Do you mean 6 months part time or 6 months full time? Is this feasible if you have a day job but are passionate about trading and learning to do it properly?

Ray Dalio says trading is more difficult than the olympics. Trading is like going into the ring to spar. Profitable traders on average probably need 10 years and more. Imagine having some knowledge and going into the world class ring. You will be knocked out in less than one minute. Trading is no different.

Hi I am a big follower and subscriber. I have a question regarding inter trader platform on their most popular markets they have UK 100 Rolling Dilly is that another name for FTSE 100 or is that a different market same goes for US SPX 500 is that snp 500 im confused because when i type in ftse 100 or snp 500 nothing comes up. Also the recent attack on saudi arabian oil processing plant brent closed trading for a few days and then when it reopened the price of oil shot up. How does that affect my order and would i get a reminder from inter trdaer that brent stopped trading for few days?

Yes they have to use words like UK 100 instead of FTSE 100 or USA 500 instead of S&P500. That's because the exchanges own the copyright for FTSE 100/S&P 500. Brent never stopped trading - the price did spike in a short time though after the attack (that's how the markets work).
