Another thing not really mentioned is how you have to accept your new version of yourself. Once you've gotten past it all being pain, addressing the fact that they would want you to be in a better mental space to continue to "honor" their memory. Finding the new you that you are goinng to be ok with is a process but it does everntually happen.

It's terrible and complicated when their life was snuffed out by someone who was supposed to love them. I'm speaking of a young mother whose daughter has also been kept away from her family. It's been 9 years and we just passed another birthday. Someday she will look for information on her mother.
