Sosanya Atinuke 6 months later here’s an answer...Yes it works and works great! Super fast, like mail is delivered to any base in US in 2-3 days, vs USPS 2-3 weeks. They process mail to all military bases around the world. Only draw backs...price and character limits per letter. Basically a 1 - 2 page typed letter, plus 1 photo. I love it.

I didn’t think I’d write letters in boot camp but i did and they did help me out and we got 3 phone calls, 1st were everyone cries, 2nd one where you call to see how everything is going, 3rd to tell people that you made and you’ll be graduating that Friday.

I know this is a bit late, but my boyfriend left for boot camp/basic training for the navy on July 5th. I got his first envelope of letters on the 22nd (it’s now the 25th) the first letter of the envelope dating back to July 8th. With limited funds for envelopes and stamps and with his letters only being shipped once a week, it’s easier to write throughout the week and then shove all the letters in one envelope. We will definitely be keeping eachother’s letters! ☺️

You get 3 phone calls. One at the beginning when you arrive, one about 3-4 weeks in, and one right after battlestations. Also, you don't have to buy notepads and envelopes until about midway when you start running out of materials. They provide you with a RTC themed letterpad and envelopes. You also get a chance to buy stamps when you first arrive.

Phone calls don’t work like that any more you get 4 phone calls 1st. 30 sec phone night of arrival 2nd. 45 min phone call 3rd week in 3rd. 45min phone call 5 weeks in 4th. 45min phone call day after battle stations

Is this still true until now? Because I just a get a 1 phone call and they only allowed us to have 11 minutes of phone call before his actual bootcamp in Navy but he called again to tell us that they will need to stay 2 more weeks of quarantine. But I wanted to know if this is still valid until now that we will ge to talk to the recruits when they are in the bootcamp because I wanna talk to him LMAO *I'm sorry it was a long message😅
