How Many Beads per Gram

Using jbead software to figure just how many beads you will need and then converting that number of beads into grams.
Bead size Approximate # of beads per gram
15/0 250
11/0 Delica 190
11/0 Seed 110
10/0 Delica 108
8/0 Seed 40
6/0 Seed 12
Always, always, always, buy more beads than you will need!
Hanks - all have 12 loops of strung beads that are tied together
There are approximately 4,000 beads per hank.
I use an Amput pocket sized scale to figure the number of grams

I thank you for doing this. I know it shows the difference between regular and delica seed beads, but what about the name. Like toho and Czech are a little more different in say size 11. Will that make a difference ?

And second I want to somehow incorporate letters into my work but am at a loss on how to do that, would you know a way or do you know where would be a good place to start looking on how I would do that? Michael Imhoff Hi! I’m so glad that my videos have helped you. Actually, I have never added any letters to any of my beaded crochet projects. I would look on “Pinterest” though to see if anyone there has done letters in theirs. I’m told that quite a few people even share their patterns for items. Sorry I can’t be of more help. Hi Rhonda, thank you for the video! I would like to ask you if you could tell me how can I change the number of rounds, for example, if the pattern says "7 ir 8" and I want to make a "5" round , does the pattern change a lot?? I hope I made myself understood, and thanks again!!

Adelia boop Hi Adelina. It sounds like you want to make a shorter bracelet for a narrower wrist. Is that right? On the red and gold bracelet that I'm showing in this video, changing the length is no problem. Using the jbead software it will show you what it will look like shorter and tell you how many beads you will need. I really can't explain how that software works. It's amazing! KZbin has a video on how to use it. Now if you are making a more intricate design, you will have to rely on the software to show you how making a 5" instead of a 7" or 8" bracelet may alter the pattern. Relax, and play with the design, you'll be amazed just what you can accomplish. If you try it and you don't like it, you can easily undo it. I have many times. You learn a lot by doing that. See what you come up with! Relax, take a breath, and enjoy it!! Hopefully this helped if I understood your question right. If not, let me know. I really want to help everyone create these fun bracelets!!!

I can now order beads without worrying if its enough to do a bracelet. You know what, we dont have that Miyuki, Toho or Czech beads in our country, i will order it abroad, thats why i ask you the question so that i can buy enough for a bracelet project. Elizabeth Holt I'm so glad my video helped you. As far as I can remember, the red and gold bracelet doesn't have a name. I saw it on Pinterest (in green and gold, I think) and then it was for sale on Etsy in the red and gold. Mine might not be exactly the same as those. I liked the pics, so I played around with the colors in the jbead software until I came up with something I liked. I'm sorry to not be of more help to you. If you do find it on Pinterest, even in different colors, they sometimes show a printed pattern there for you to follow. Hopefully, I've been of some help :)
