I am very happy I found your tutorial. I now understand how to read the pattern and string my beads. I didn't know that once you completed the list it was one cycle of the pattern. I now understand why some patterns show the number of "Rows per Repeat and"Total Number of Rows" can have the same number . . . . cause that is the total lenght of the pattern.

Good evening. For some reasons i don’t understand how many repetitions of the pattern i need to string for example to do an 18 inch necklace? Could you explain how. Thank you!

Adina, I have the same problem anybody explain how do this. SO BAD !!!!!
@Danysska5 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you for asking. Every pattern is different so I can't tell how many pattern repeats you will need. For example if you want necklace 50 cm long you will need 2 repeats of some difficult pattern or if you choose some easy pattern, you will need no less than 50 pattern repeats. More important than number of pattern repeats is the length of the bead string. For example if you want to make 50 cm necklace and your pattern has circumference 14 beads, your bead string has to be 14 times longer than the finished product you want - in this case... 14 x 50 cm = 700 cm. Or if you want to make 45 cm long necklace and your pattern has 5 beads in one row (cirmuference), your bead string has to be 5 x 45 cm = 225 cm long. It doesn't matter how big beads you use, this is universal formula how to calculate the length of the bead string for the product you want.

Hi, thank you for this very helpful video! Could you explain what the "Draft", the "Correction" and the "simulation" mean? Is there a way to "translate" this pattern into the Peyote stitch?
@Danysska4 жыл бұрын
Hello! The first graph called Draft gives you the stringing order. The stringing order starts at the top right, and goes to the bottom, right to left. This graph just represents the stringing order and doesn’t show you much of how the end result will look. Some people prefer to string the beads according to this graph but I prefer string the bead according the list of beads which I will talk about in a while. The second graph called Corrected shows how the pattern will look crocheted. It’s just still a flat representation of the pattern like the first graph. You can also string the beads according this graph but it’s little bit more complicated, so there is no need to do that. And the third graph called Simulation shows you how the finish bead crochet rope will look. You can see only 1 side of the rope but you can move it with these arrows up. And about transfering the pattern into peyote.... Some time ago I found this article when they tried it and they had to use Bead Tool to transform the pattern and the result was still not exactly the same. www.beadinggem.com/2018/06/can-you-use-beaded-crochet-rope-pattern.html

What does it mean when the chart says repeat rows per repeat 38+2 beads?
@Danysska3 жыл бұрын
This means that the pattern is repeated in 38 rows and 2 beads. It may or may not be a bug in the pattern. You better check the pattern before stringing the beads and start crocheting.

Hi, of course. You can draw the pattern by hand on square paper but I don't reccomend to do that if you want to draw some difficult pattern. Or you can draw your own patterns using jbead software www.jbead.ch/. It is free to use and easy to work with.

Hi Daniela. I 've been following your videos and let me tell you!.. I love it! I' ve never done crochet rope but i would like to give it a try... It seems pretty easy to follow the patterns after watching you videos. My questions is... Which size of beads and thread should i use? I found a pattern on pinterest with a circunference: 5. The beads i have are toho 8 and the thread is number 12 for crochet. Can you advise me on this? Thank you in advance
@Danysska2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you so much for your nice comment! The circumference is quite small, I would choose a little bigger to start with, about 8, because you will find your way around the pattern better. 5 is quite a few, you won't have the beads in a nice circle in the first rows and it could confuse you. Otherwise, size 8 beads are great to start with. And I would choose thread size 30, with size 12 the thread will be visible between the beads a lot.
