I teared up when the octopus gave thanks to his helper. We must work harder to better understand the lifeforms we share our home with. And how important it is to respect them by preserving their habitats and needs.

Surely that octopus is saying, “Wtf is this octopus made of that it didn’t even get eaten by a school of sharks while parading around on the sea floor in bright red?”

I think it was curious, the suckers are a form of taste and smell that help them process the world around them. He was like “you taste like a rock, what are you? um thanks anyway, I’m just gonna take this…”

Yes I completely agree. I found this from google.. They actually can smell and taste. That helps the octopus tell there's no snail inside this shell. Hundreds of suckers tasting and smelling, and flexible arms moving every which way, create a huge amount of information -- a lot for the octopus' central brain to process. So each arm has a mind of its own.
@RedBroski
@RedBroski Жыл бұрын
Agreed! They're smarter than cats, and cats can tell that a stuffed animal is fake, after sniffing and pawing at it a few times. Octopus was probably thinking "hmm.... You're a bit strange... You must be an alien.... Well, thanks anyway." 😆

Doomed to eat them maybe. The poor guys would be scorched by the sun, harassed by ants and insects. Almost all except herbivores would see them as free protein and omega-3. There is a reason why they live in the sea, on land they have 0% chance, except for the shores where they jump out and run small distances to ambush crabs. But thats about it.
