@@markmaxwell4890 I just had 6 eggs for breakfast before replying to this. Yeah, I do buy eggs from mostly supermarkets and occasionally I'll have fresh eggs straight from the hens belly. Which I've never experienced that pain... however, we're mindful where we buy our eggs from, how they're raised & treated & the environment, and what mother hens consumes. FDA have also changed their position on eggs last yr I think, I read on 'The Australian' newspaper, that consuming 2 to 4 eggs a day it's healthy for you but all along I've been having 6 to 8 eggs a day most times...

+Nice Shoes Forget the old science - the facts are : Yes, there is a very small probability that your eggs may have been exposed to salmonella in general, and furthermore a similarly small likelihood that it has actually penetrated the shell. Even if in worse case scenario an eggshell has been penetrated, there's also another very small probability that enough of the bacteria has penetrated to cause one any distress. The overall probability of any reasonably fresh egg purchased is contaminated, and in sufficient quantity is therefore extremely low. I took the decision to start taking it raw regularly (as in some drinks) 7 years ago, and had not been affected a single time. We eat raw eggs anyway, and nobody even thinks about it : Mayonnaise contains raw eggs / cookies contain raw eggs / that bowl you licked out as a child when your mother baked contained raw eggs etc.

Dr. Berg. Thank you for your great body of work. From 1978 to 1982 I used to eat 48 eggs per day, some days a little less or a little more. I usually drank about half of them raw. And always over 5 pints of full-cream milk. Plus one or two medium size lamb and rice meals with a small salad. Also an 8 oz. tub or two of cottage cheese. I trained hard (weights) took no drugs and took vitamin C when I remembered which was most days. I had a full heart and blood check after 3 and half years on that regime and was excellent everywhere. The doctor was very surprised. I wasn't because even back then I was educated thanks to reading Vince Gironda, and I could see the food propaganda all around me - It's bad now, but it was diabolical then. There was a face-paralysed (probably stroke) fellow who ran a health food shop next to Wembley Park tube station called "Bridge to Health" who used to solemnly preach the "dangers" of eating eggs. He used to say the limit was no more than 1 per week. He almost fell off his stool when I told him I ate 48 per day. I'm approaching 60, have a young family (my first children are 36 and 38, and each have children) am still a powerhouse and eat 6-12 eggs per day. Young women (20's) are still attracted to me and most would die if I told them my age. Sometimes I do tell and they don't know whether to feel sick or turned on :)) In truth I was probably eating more eggs than I needed, because I grew stronger in the 80's 90's and 00's while eating no-where near 48 per day. I am still in tip-top condition with good scores everywhere they can check. I am living proof that eggs have been unfairly demonized and are in fact good for us. Not just me but contemporaries I am still in touch with. Thanks again.

Do you have any specific brands/farms you recommend for pasture-raised, organic eggs? I recently visited my local farmers market. I located some eggs that were advertised as pasture-raised and organic; however, when I asked if the chickens had any grains fed to them, the answer was “yes”. 😳 I appreciate any farms/brands you would recommend.

Dr. Berg, in this video (and in other videos) you mention that the body makes LDL and if you don't consume enough LDL, the body will make it. If you consume more LDL, then the body will make less. I was listening to a video by Dr. Tom O'Bryan. He says also that we need LDL, but he points out that there is good LDL and bad LDL and that the bad LDL is LDL that has become oxidated (damaged). I'd like to hear your thoughts on this. By the way, I'm a fan of yours. Your keto diet method has helped me. I like the way you explain things. Awesome Dr Berg i look forward to my breakfast every day with EGGS so yummy. No fruit, no milk , no cereal. Eggs !!!

Organic pasture-raised doesn't guarantee corn,soy,grain free. They still give them grain. I eat 10-12 eggs a day and my doctor said I'm the healthiest person he's seen 🌞 I love drawing Berg's video on eggs and grass fed Kerrygold butter
@toti3936 жыл бұрын
Christine Jaroszynski no I have not read it but asked people who produce and visited their farms so pasture-raised is not grain free unless you see the farm. Do you believe that hens can live only on grass. Anyway eggs are beneficial perfect food

wow , 10-12 a day is whoa lol. How long have you been eating this way and is it hard to find grass fed eggs? Are grass fed advertised naturally organic too? thanks

with 3 eggs you reached 100% of the daily intake recommendation of vitamin K. Vitamin K is not water-based, so it gets stored in your fat. Eat 10 eggs per day and sooner or later you will have a vitamin K overdose.
@Alper885 жыл бұрын
Where did Dr Fung say that? I'm curious:)

@@windar2390 there is no known toxicity of too much vitamin k though
@tylerh6295 жыл бұрын
@@windar2390 1 cup of spinach provides you with 150% vitamin k. Same with any leafy green veggies. I doubt that you will reach toxicity so long as you get it ONLY from food. In fact, it looks like having less vitamin k is catastrophic.

Excellent video love it! Only thing the video didn't explain is, if the body creates less cholesterol when not needed, then why do some people have high cholesterol if we can be making less? I think this is what scares a lot of people with eating eggs and similar foods with cholesterol. Please clear up this important distinction for us.
@Light-Metamorphosis6 жыл бұрын
He has in other videos. It's because most people also use sugar, refined grains, and other insulin spiking foods. Those are the true culprits.

Thanks so much!! Did you ever see if Dr. Berg create a video on Kale chips? I make them all the time as is crazy awesome replacement for carb chips. I wonder if he didn't do it yet because baked kale has less vitamins(?)
@Light-Metamorphosis6 жыл бұрын
@@mitch1078 I have not seen him make that video but i think its ok as long as you don't cook it too long.
@mitch10786 жыл бұрын
Thanks Joel. I met him at the Keto summit it was so awesome with him! I sent him this idea for video as it would go crazy wild for homemade Kale chips. I'm sure he knows about how great they are...I'm just wondering if he is hesitant based on cooking vs raw. They would be an incredible hit with the group because they pack quite a crunch and much more amazing taste than any carb based chips! Simple to do with very light touch of avocado or nut oil and bake at 350 for 15 min.

Exactly... when people hear I eat 5 eggs a day they try and say it isnt healthy. I'm in great shape and lift 5 days a week and it's super annoying when fat out of shape people tell me eating 5 eggs a day isnt healthy... it's like and being obese is healthy? No but you don't see me telling you that!
