Heya! Just so you know, Conga actually only requires THREE eggs rather than seven! You just can’t shoot him in rapid succession since he’s invulnerable during his “responding attack” animation where he throws oranges after being hit. I’ve always loved the idea of playing familiar games with certain additional restrictions. I speedrun BK casually and I’ll often do a Honeyless 100% run, where I don’t collect any Honeycomb Pieces or Extra Honeycomb Pieces. This scratched an itch I’ve had for a long time, and was really well made too! I’d love to see something like this for Banjo-Tooie now that it’s much more accessible to the general public than ever before, though routing ANY Banjo-Tooie playthrough is a huge enough undertaking, especially if you add extra criteria on top 😂

10:06 I'm gonna be honest. I've probably 100% this game 50+ times over the years. I've not once ever done anything other than pecking that grate open. Never even crossed my mind even a little it's positioned perfectly to shoot it from the platform.

I played a BK Randomizer last year and by sheer happenstance was not given Egg Aiming until the *last world* in the cycle. In that moment I truly understood "You don't know what you've got until it's gone." like ol' Conker once said. That and how much we take for granted the basic kit of a character, it was a wild revelation.

So if my math is right, it takes 54 eggs to get all the Jiggies and 44 eggs in the Grunty fight, making 98 eggs to complete the whole game? Assuming no glitches.

I did a playthrough of B-K without learning the egg moves. Most levels could be almost finished without eggs, RBB could be 100%ed. But I couldn't get enough Jiggies to get past the Grunty picture.

The way you got the jiggy from the eye of the witch statue (from mmm witchswitch) is how i always get it lol screw that timed flight pad lol I also prefer the n64 musical note system. The game is too short already for casual playthroughs it doesnt need to be made easier. I wish the xbox version at least gave you the option when you start a new save file.

(You can make it to Furnace Fun without eggs or red/gold feathers). So it's funny you made this video since I assume you don't speed run the game. I speed run this game and part of doing the Speedrun is utilizing a glitch called FFM where we store moves in the games RAM at furnace fun and start a new file with all moves unlocked from that file. For the purpose of getting a bunch of eggs to start we set the dummy file up for the Speedrun by beating the game to Furnace fun without unlocking eggs or red/golden feathers that way we have all moves except these, and get a bonus for unlocking them during the actual run, so we don't have to farm eggs or feathers. So without watching the full video yet I can tell you I have already made it to Furnace Fun without eggs OR feathers of either color. Anyone who runs the FFM game category has and they have walkthroughs for it. LOL. Your video is great by the way. good execution and excellent humor. nice work.

Hehe at least your excuse for 99%ing the game is better than mine. I have a phobia of beehives (like I shiver like crazy when I see them), not the cartoony yellow and black ones but the dead husky ones...and it's all because of this game. I can do Spring, Summer and Fall no problem, but winter.... I can't...I can't even enter the Winter at all. because the bee hive simply paralyzes me and I have to shut off the game. My siblings thought I was weird when I did it the first time, but to this day... every time I watch a video about BK, I have to keep the video half scrolled in case a clip of CCW in winter shows up... because of that, I can't ever get the last 10 notes and 2 jiggies remaining. I am fine enough with staying low to the ground to get the extra honey comb piece, but....for similar reasons I cannot grow the flower at all because guess what else made me run out the room and force my siblings to turn off the game. Yep...the dead flower in Winter... SO I forever am stuck beating the game with 97 jiggies (as I don't bother with the flower even though you fully grow it in fall) and 990 notes. I know I could hug the camera to the tree to avoid seeing the bee hive, but gosh.... talk about childhood trauma. and the even sadder part....despite being stung twice in my life, I have NO problems with bees themselves. I think they're adorable actually. (the two times I was stung the bee somehow got stuck in my shirt and only stung me cause it was trying to escape. I didn't get a reaction at all, it just pinched a bit.) It's just the hives that make me freak out...probably that trip...the...phobia thing I read about but do NOT want to ever look up again...OOOhEee....no.......there's no greater discomfort....

Also, shoutouts to Press A for attempting the No Kazooie challenge. I gave him a suggestion on how he could've improved the video the same way you did. Not sure who liked my comment (got a notification) but with content like this, I really do expect a high degree of effort even if the challenge is impossible to at least give us something interesting. He gave up really fast, kept changing the rules, and showed us old clips of him breaking the rules as if he didn't really... "care" and then just stopped with only even attempting to show us Freezeeze Peak. Like I said, I'd have put that video on the draft bin and kept working on it. but his pikmin videos are excellent and go indepth.

Sounds like Trypophobia to me, but as you said, better don't look it up, since you'll get these pictures right away. As someone with Arachnophobia though I can really relate to that. It was interesting to hear about your struggles with the game, because I rarely hear about other people's phobia-related issues in games.

Tbh, I rarely use eggs anyway. I beat the boom box usually with the regular attacks. I actually pulled off the Reverse Bee Advanture glitch myself, using the cauldron method. It took me few tries to do so, although i don't remember the details. Does the game saves that you activate the cauldron immediately or if you switch the power button it doesn't? Because I am quite sure I didn't get it first try.
