Haha! 😅 I have something in common with Kiko... I had to choose between guitar and video games as well when I was a teenager. When I was 15, a friend of mine wanted to sell me his console for a cheap price but my mom said I'd have it only if I improved my marks in Maths. I didn't... And the next couple of months, I told her I wanted to take guitar lessons. I've never been interested in playing video games since then 😁...

I actually found that a proper practice routine (playing to a metronome and studying out of a book) is more rewarding for me than just noodling. I think it's that because at the end of the practice session I feel like I've accomplished something. It may be something small like play a sale run cleanly at 5bpm faster but it's still progress :-D

The best way to practice is to play! Don't worry about playing your scales and arpeggios just play to your hearts content, of course if you want to be better you will have to be practice but try to put the practice into a solo to make it more fun and enjoyable

I just picked up an electric guitar to learn.. 2 hours a day didn't feel like 2 hours... its 10 minutes xD SO MUCH FUN.. I'm 28 years old... am I too old? I only learned accoustic guitar back in my teens day and it broke (doesn't have money to repair or buy a new one) and I've been learning violin for a year now but I wasn't able to find joy in it(it feels like its too hard or maybe lack of something within.. idk), so this is the first time I actually feel happy to learn new stufd.

Hello kiko... I always enjoy your videos. I think you trully are a breath of fresh air. However ... in this ocation I feel that you did not hit the mark with the question at hand .. the roots of the question is very to the point ... how many hours should I have to be putting in to be able to get to a level like or similar to yours . That's the essence of the question . I know that correct practice is 100% more important than just playing for hours things that you already know . So this is where we need to get to ... how many hours a day of strong metronome playing and how many hours of learning news techniques and theory to be able to get you mastery levels . Out of personal experience I can guarantee it's not half an hour. Day ... if all you play is half an hour a day... then all you will ever play is wonderwall . I'm 52 and I'm not terrible at the instrument .. I'm ok ... and I have dedicated uncountable hours . I hate to bring anything negative as you are the most charming and positive person out there .. but.. tell it how it is kiko it takes oceans of hours !!! Don't mislead them with the half an hour thing or that is up to them ... if you want to reach kikos level.. you will have to break your back with that instrument in your hand . That is the truth... as always kiko... you the man
@kikoloureiroofficial3 жыл бұрын
I will answer this in another Q&A. Cool? But quickly here: If you are a top player you probably didn't count the hours because playing is a necessity. It' s an obsession
