Guzik gives an excellent answer to the judgements of humans. As to Church history, it is filled with horrible hermeneutics so, like Thomas Aquinas said: burn everything I wrote, worthless as straw. If only people would take the converted Aquínas' advice on his own writings. One addition, not criticism, it is not just humans who will be judged. Separate judgements await not just angels but all creation (animals, rocks) as 1peter tells an universal fire awaits before the new earth and heaven. BTW, I have gone through 3 full seminary courses on Church history online besides various smatterings. I'm not entirely ignorant of Church history. I just don't idolize the ancients.

Why do i want a reward in heaven? Its a bit based on pride and being better than others? I don't want responsibility, rather a peaceful time! And secondly, ive wasted my life totally, not as a believer, not understanding the need to please God and work so hard for Him, so I'm going to heaven in poverty and with nothing but a wasted life. Too late, for at least the majority of life, even if i work consistently, relentlessly and frantically with deep anxiety and stress. Is that what is meant??? Be VERY grateful to hear. Thank you

the Bible tells us that God will be pleased foreword those who have served Him well. That is His prerogative and delight, so it will be a good thing. Wow may not be motivated by that right now, and that is OK, yet the Bible such is the truth, and we need to open our hearts to what intends to do for us and with us. As to your second question, none of us has lived up to our potential. In face, none of us deserve Heaven at all. That being so, God is pleased by every right intention and every godly word and deed that may come forth from our lives. So we move forward in faith, and in our desire to please the Lord in this life, and to enjoy our relationship with God. I encourage you to not worry about what you haven't done. Leave the past in the past, and enjoy the present with Jesus, and trust Him with His good intentions for you for the future. I hope that this helps. Blessings!

Excellent answer by Guzik. It is pride to put your opinion, trying to be humble, above the clear teaching of Scripture. Because the heart is desperately wicked, too many Christians engage in the pride of seeming humble. This is NOT an accusation, as I don't know your heart.

Matthew 5:22. Whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into fiery hell." Please, I beg of you, don't do this anymore. I hear people saying this a lot and if a pastor does it, others can think there's nothing ever wrong with it and end up in hell.

Scripture gives measurement for Goliath. Depending on what exacya cubit is, we're taking around 18 feet. That's not a basketball size guy. Clearly all the nephilim died before the flood BUT the giants like Og aren't Scandinavians. I personally don't know what to do with these verses but they clearly not just somewhat taller people like we see tiday.

1 Timothy 5:8 I just listened to your teaching through 1 Timothy 5 (which is mislabeled as chp 6 on your podcasts) and when you got to verse 8 you completely left the context of the passage and started teaching that this verse means that the husband is suppose to be the provider...the entire passage is addressing widows, and to be a widow the husband must be dead...not only that but earlier in this passage in verse 4 it specifically states that the children and grandchildren are to take care of the widows in their families...it sounds like you are reading into this passage something you believe (eisegesis) which this passage clearly is not teaching...I hope you correct this so that there is not an unscriptural burden placed on someone that this passage does not teach.

Read with a Child's mind and faith. Take the Word literally until it is not possible, knowing that with GOD nothing is impossible. With a figurative statement, apply it to a literal situation. A person's faith will be key and will determine what is literal or figurative. Does it literally mean ‘pluck my eye out?’ Well if that's what it takes I would say yes. But just quit the sin business and keep both those good eyes. Looking up definitions/Origin into English) Looking Oxford Dictionary, use discernment when looking up words online. Words are ranked on most common usage. Read the Bible from their perspective. More words and definitions have been added since 1611. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth. (Literal) 1 John 5:7 For there are Three (Literal: 1,2,3) that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these Three are one (Figurative to Literal: They are God, One in Unity, There at the Beginning, etc) God Bless
