How many Kingdom Hearts figures are there?

Today, we’re finding out exactly how many official Kingdom Hearts figurines exist. It turns out the answer is quite a few.
In case you were wondering, I own exactly zero Kingdom Hearts figures.

UPDATES: A few people pointed out extra details or stuff that was announced after I finished editing. Feel free to share anything else that I might have missed! - In Kingdom Hearts Select Series 3, the Space Paranoids Donald figure was never actually released (but many retailers still have it on their websites to this day). - KH2 school uniform Kairi and Chain of Memories Mickey were both shown as prototypes for Kingdom Hearts Select Series 3. - There is a KH2 Sora Hallmark ornament, as well as a black coat King Mickey one that's coming later this year. - Takara Tomy had a "Kingdom Hearts Soft Figure DX 3Pack", another KH1-era set which featured Sora, Riku, and Kairi. - There is ANOTHER Funko figure in the Funko Pop! Game Cover line, featuring KH1 Sora. It was released in 2023, but goes back to the generic Kingdom Hearts branding of the pre-KH3 sets.

I remember back when people were fretting about whether Sora would get an Amiibo at all because of Disney even though Disney was so gung-ho about letting Sora join Smash to begin with.

It really did look like we weren't gonna get one for a good while though, I think he was the longest between inclusion in Smash and confirmation of amiibo (among Ultimate newcomers, I'm not counting Melee or Brawl returners like Pichu or Snake), it was a good year or so, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did have more red tape to get through.

Jack getting his own Play Arts figure stands out like a sore thumb because he's the only Disney party member to get one and thus he doesn't looked like a Kingdom Hearts figure, he just looks like a regular Jack figure. It'd be like if they released Advent Children Tifa as part of the line as a KH2 figure. I know it's probably because Nightmare Before Christmas became really popular thanks to Kingdom Hearts, especially in Japan, but the fact that Jack's the only one and characters like, say, Mulan, Tron or Jack Sparrow didn't get one is just weird.

My thoughts exactly. I bet a lot of the decisions for who gets a figure is dependent on marketing, at least for first-party ones. Some of the third-party figures seem to have the opposite pattern, like how the first wave of Funko Pop! didn't have any KH-original characters, only Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pete.

I think the Sora Smash amiibo is my favorite figure of him in the KH1 design, it looks really good and will go perfect with the Cloud and Sephiroth amiibos

I remember the mirage figures cause those were the ones that were advertised when the 1st game came out...like it was literally in the manual at the last page. And i looked for it at every hobby store (since toysrus didnt sell them) and they were impossible to find in those days

Alright, I think I've figured it out: Originally, the Series 3 Kingdom Hearts Select was supposed to come in three 3-packs: {Black Coat Mickey, Assassin, Shadow}, {SP Goofy, Tron, Shadow}, and {SP Sora, SP Donald, Sark}. When I saw the title of this video, I recalled some keychains my brother and I found in a capsule machine in the mid-2000's and watched to see if they made the cut. I was not disappointed to see them rounding out tier 3 with some cool trivia alongside. Though the ones we got were cast in a single-color translucent resin, the poses were definitely the same. Still, it's a shame. Kid-me would have loved that uncanny valley paint job they are sporting.

I’m glad you mentioned the Ichiban Kuji figures - they’re definitely some of my favourites. I have the Sora&Roxas A prize figure from the 2nd and the Last One Sora from the 3rd and they’re both great. I can’t wait for the 4th lottery and fully plan on hunting down the A and Last One prizes 🙏

My favorite KH action figure is, ironically not even a KH character. It's the Kingdom hearts play arts vol.2 figure no.6 sephiroth. Second is cloud, third is Halloween Town Sora (both in the same figure set)

Fun fact: The Space Paranoids Donald in the Diamond Select line was never released! It was scheduled to be in one of the other packs but once it was actually released, the Donald figure was nowhere to be found.

Don’t forget the Soft Figure DX 3-pack of Sora, Riku and Kairi from back in the day! They’re very similar to the Magic Collection figures, but they do vary in small ways (ex: Sora is smiling with his teeth, instead of a closed mouth)

For the Nendoroid figures, you say that KH1 Sora is using the KH3 Sora pose, but then you literally show the artwork of KH1 sora doing the same pose back in 2002 when you start talking about the Nissin products🤦and you can even tell they're different poses because the way the teeth of the keyblade are facing. And the KH2 Sora's pose is based off of a piece of official artwork of Sora. I remember seeing these figures come out and was surprised that the marketing images had such attention to detail
