I'm glad to see the old Chevy got some love. My '06 doesn't really need a new frame, but its got a fair share of surface rust. I would not mind updating the control arms, bushings, etc. Where did you get all the parts? They don't look factory from what I could tell.

Upper control arms are the Kryptonite leveling kit. Bilstein 5100 shocks.

On the return trip empty, dis you reset the Avg. MPG ? I dont know if Chevy gives you that option but on my Ram I can and it will be more accurate to the tenth when I do. Will this be towed back after its outfitted? Reweighed too? Like seeing the weigh in and how you eun the numvees. Good job! 👍

Yes, when you reset the trip it also resets MPG.

Nice video. The max tow package is a genius package from GM that in my opinion is a way around needing a class A cdl and still being able to have the benefit of a 3500 SRW truck. I have no way to prove that but it certainly allows for the very common 14,000 GVWR equipment trailer to be pulled by this truck and stay under 26,000 GCWR where a true 3500 would put you at 26,100. And of course that’s all considering the truck is used for commercial use. Private use it’s up to the state. My state of Kentucky doesn’t require any special licensing or registration for private use. Anyways I wonder if the new KO3 tires have anything to do with the fuel mileage?

Good point on the tires…I did go bigger on these. I took off the factory K03’s & installed 295/65/20 K02

@@truckguyjoe I see. Well that probably does hurt cause you are over 35” in height now as compared to 34” on the stocks. So if nothing else the speedometer is off a little. They look good on there.
