It’s not that bad. I’m 53 and shoot mine a lot. Sure, it’s harder than most break barrels, but it’s also one of the most powerful. If you want a real workout try pumping up the tank on a 300 bar PCP with a hand pump.

Yup, just got mine today… I’m 6’2” 240 lbs. I consider myself pretty strong as well, but I was shocked the first time I cocked it. Guess that’s the price you pay for that much power. Good vid btw! 👍🏻

Have you seen the piston inside this rifle? Its over 12" long and is under more than 2200 psi. Yeah its hard to cock but the amount of power you get outta this rifle is second to none. You can average over 950 fps with a 14.3 crosman pellet. I fitted mine with an after market piston seal and I'm averaging 950-960 fps. I'm very pleased with this rifle.

Honestly once you shoot that thing usually gets me going and don't mind the heavy cocking effort, and it has some power behind it and i don't have a swarm i have the very first single load break barrel Magnum .22 1300 Mach1 IGT I got 4 years ago and love it, doesn't have the suppressor which I like nice crack put out.

I had mine a month and used it a few sessions and figured out a good way to cock it and was feeling good about it and it had a grinding feel when cocking and then would lock up when half way into the cock . I sent it back about 5 days ago , and haven’t heard back . I really miss it and hope they get it fixed . It makes me wonder if they are susceptible to breakage due to the high amount of effort it takes to cock it .

Bro, I don't know if mine was over pressured from the factory, but it's cocking force is 54lbs to 60lbs. I'm 6' 3" and 340 lbs and not a big fatty, and it takes a lot of effort. Ofcourse I cock my rifle by gripping the steel end of the barrel and not the plastic suppressor. Gamo says not to use the plastic suppressor as a cocking handle. Just F.Y.I.

Its the next day I sent gamo email yesterday and ssaid lots of people complaining including myself. They gave me an RA number plus shipping label good till june 18th. Ive decided to run about 250 pellets thru. My velocity seems to be picking up. BUT first I Found an easier way to cock these guns. Set the butt on a padded chair or strong stool and use your right or left hand and simply cock. Try it and see you wont believe the difference. Also I dont think the scale is accurate way to measure. Because its going down from your force on it. They prob have a hooked device that a torque wrench goes in to test pressure against that 33 mm ram. I figure a few more days wont matter. Try cocking the way I said even on your tailgate would work. Then the gun dont move and your not puching down so hard.

Im glad youre doing reviews on this rifle man...try doing penetration tests at different distances better yet buy a whole chicken and put it at 40 yards i would wanna see that ive seen this other youtuber try it but with a lower powered breakbarrel i would really like to see if this magnum would penetrate

agree with this video. i laughed when the reviews i saw said this thing was a beast to cock, i thought man, im not going to have issues, im a big strong guy! well, took it out today to zero the scope and holy hell they werent joking. I'm 6'0 265lbs and im an athlete for a living and you better take people seriously when they say this thing is gnarly. I have heard it gets easier with time, after a break in period, man i hope so. otherwise ill probably bring this to the range with my other rifles and shoot it about 25 times max before i put it away and grab something else because its just a chore. Can I physically do it? Of course. Is it super annoying? Yes. Its still a good SHTF tool, but for recreational shooting itll be done in small doses for me, unless it gets a little easier as i get used to it, it breaks in, or i get a better technique down. For hunting it will be fine, as you wont be cocking this often, but if you are looking to plink more than hunt, id advise something less powerful.

Yes my Hatsan 125 isnt that brutal. what makes the gamo suck so bad is the extremely long cocking movement it fights you all the way and its about as funny as a heart attack.

I've gotten much better shooting the Gamo swarm magnum 22, the best pellet for me is the crossman 14.3 pointed or hollow points. I can't seem to find any H&N Hornets..😔 Thank you very much for watching and commenting.

I put the scope on today but really needs a longer scope but the mount is fine.I may put 3x9x40AO Hatsan Those are great scopes for the money. The RRR part is built in the mount. Scope is prob fine but I have to move my head far to right.

I just got one yesterday and went to cock it whith one hand, holding the rifle in my right hand, grabbing the barrel with my left hand to cock it...no way. It takes both hands to pull the barrel down. I've only done it twice. I'm going to try and figure out a good way to do it today.

For as Hard as it is to cock the hatsan 125 smokes it. Plus the hatsan has an adjustable piston pressure. Not per say but watch video and you will see. The Hatsan is 50lbs but feels like toy compared to this. I weigh 290 lbs and use my body weight to help cock this Gamo and its still a MF. Ive heard after 150 shots gets easier. Watch JC on airgun detective he cocks like a toy. NOBODY IS THAT STRONG NOBODY. Maybe he took the piston out for video. The swarm whisper isnt bad but this 141lbs is a gdmf!!!!!!!

No you need a different gun. look at hatsan 125 at field supply. Usually .177.22 and .30 cal camo wood stock. Gun is heavier but you can feel the quality. Its 1200FPS pba and 1000 with lead and it does it!!!!

@@g.d.7629 Thor thing is that hatsan May on paper sound powerful but it’s not as potent as the gamo magnum nor the g-magnum.I’m a proud owner of the gamo magnum gen2.22 and also the newest form of the gamo whisper g-magnum.22 and I have proven that they are way more powerful.Tye thing is that the gamos are a lot stiffer when new but become easier in time

For the payoff its not worth it!! Too much effort when a hatsan 125 shoots same speed or more is way to go. I have both and hope i can sell gamo. Ive shot 15 shots. Your whole body needs to be in shape.

Your scale must be metric so in SAE it would be about 135 lbs or metric tons.

Not very accurate why not use a scale where you cut out any potential weight your body may put on the scale. Just like testing draw weight of a bow.
