Even though you went -16, I don't think your rule changes need to compensate 16 tokens' worth. Having the option to use tokens much earlier in the puzzle, might let you solve the whole set with fewer total tokens. I even wonder if a 'starting supply' of just five or ten tokens would be enough.

Over an hour long video?! YES😍😁 Also, I loved that you continued with the minus tokens bc I really wanted to see you solve all of them! It's amazing that you can change words so slightly to become other words that are useful for different guesses - also, without writing them down and thinking for a long time!

A couple of additional ways to use tokens I thought of would be: - If you can do a word ladder then it is only using 1 token even if you change more than one letter. - You could use a token (or multiple) to skip a guess on one puzzle so that you can better line up overlaps.

Also maybe you could somehow work in swapping letters (like anagrams) which is slightly more nuanced than just changing the letter entirely

I feel like with the potential future rules you mentioned last time could make a 5 daily squardle could’ve been possible. Definitely should try your ideas next time you do it

37:00 i think the opposite order would be more correct - first hotel, then spend 2 tokens into dowel, and then use 1 token into dower. If you don't start with hotel, then you won't have enough tokens to change *into* hotel (you need 2 tokens, but are left with only 1)

Perhaps a token per new word rather than per new letter if they have this little overlap. I don't know, though. This was crazy and fun even if you lost the challenge.

I think you should get 2 tokens for every succesfull guesses, or to get tokens when you solve a grid : 1 for each words solved in the final guess, and 1 or 2 extra because you solved a grid

You should give yourself 5 tokens when you complete a puzzle so you can try to finish one early to get more tokens if you get lucky and not have all at the same amount of guessing which would make it impossible

A future challenge idea. You inspired. You start with 2 weekly squardles and you solve them using you normal rule set for multiple puzzles. The twist, you begin with negative tokens. You may continue to borrow tokens and use them as normal, but you must finish with at least 0 tokens Failing a puzzle or finishing with a negative number of tokens is a challenge fail

Uhhh I walked away to make some food and was on autoplay. I come back and see this monster of a challenge. I've tried these word puzzle games in the past and have struggled greatly, how you manage to do 5 is just flabergasting. Keep up the awesome videos!

At the point where you needed the A for ultra, U & T for lusty and 2nd T for ditty, I was willing you to think of 'aunty' which would have got you 3 bonus guesses!

What a crazy solve! I think you deserve two tokens for each bonus guess you get when it comes to the daily puzzles. I can't believe you pulled it off!

Maybe still keep it so that you only get tokens from solving words but the amount of tokens you get per word is the amount of squardles you are solving -3. So in this case you would get 2 tokens per word. This method would scale with the amount of squardles you are solving if you ever decided to try more than 5 lol. I don't know how hard or easy it would be then.
