I think the paper works best when its tightly packed together instead of loosely. In all seriousness though you could get some paper, tape and made a steel baking pan for like 20 dollars and make something that would actually stop bullets

How thick was each 500-sheet ream of paper? The reason I ask is that I am wondering how the 1 1/2 inch thick pine lumber that you were using as a backstop would compare to 500 sheets of paper.

I made a video of a little powerful crossbow, right through 430 somthing sheets, right through, just with a cheap bolt, but im pretty confident it could do 600 and thats not a firearm, food for thought. Check it out, i came on here to compare penetration, interesting to compare.

Using paper as armor is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. The reason the 10mm went through 500 sheets the second time is the ream of paper you shot was already hit before. It made the paper weak for your 10mm. The problem with paper armor is every shot would make the armor significantly weaker. Next time try hitting the paper with a real rifle and see if you’d trust your life to paper.
