Yes, it was needed. He was adding context. He explained why he had to have around the clock security. What does that have to do with Andy? Well, Andy mentioned his mother got them security, but made it seem like it all began after that incident. Matt and Joey were explaining that security was already in place before that, and why it was in place.

I was on a road trip with a group of friends. We stopped at a gas station in broad daylight, to fuel up. I waited by the car with one other girl. As we were talking, this guy kept lurking around and came over to me and started a conversation. Before I knew it he lunged towards me as if to grab me. I'll never forget that because he was tall and much bigger than me. By the grace of God, he literally stopped just inches from me cause he realized my friend was standing right there. He just walked away. My friend just looked at me as traumatized as I was and said he was going to grab you. I'll never forget that day or forget how my guardian angels kept watch over me.

God is good, he saved my sister and I several times from kidnappings as child. We were exotic looking kids, I looked white and she looked native american 😮‍💨 in our neighborhood we stood out. I remember waking up at one point as a kid to a man petting my head, I woke up and frightened him so he ran out and years later i found out my mom dreamed someone guy broke in and she attacked him with an axe. My dad work the night shift, I kinda thought I dreamed it until my other sister mentioned it. I did tell my mom the next day but I was half asleep and gave the wrong direction of where he ran, so hearing it bought back that memory. 😩

Scary. Glad everything is ok now. When I was 12 I saved my younger sister from being kidnapped. She was 4 and Mom took us to Gemco. It's like a Kmart, Target store. Mom told me to watch my sister so we went to the toy section. I noticed a old lady wearing a apron watching us. So we went to the next aisle. Old lady watching again. Grabbed my sister and went to tell my mom. As we were walking towards the door I looked behind me and she's following us. Once outside there was a guy on a motorcycle and the lady pointed at my sister and said that's the one I want. He chased us around the parking lot. We got my sister into the car and told her to lock the doors. I'm standing behind the trunk and the guy pulls up next to me. I was so scared he might take me. Luckily he looked at the lady and she told him to let it go. That day is burned into my head. Some guy followed me in the car and I managed to get away. All this happened is the 80's.. ❤

So true. And this is not the first time on the podcast that he’s exclaimed (without being ironic): “I was very famous.” It’s so cringe-inducing; only a true narcissist would not be aware of how it “comes off”. That being said, if a little narcissism is Joey’s biggest “vice”, then I say, “kudos to him”, as we all know how difficult it can be for former child stars to make that successful transition to adulthood without a drug addiction or jail sentence here or there. And as far as I can recall, Joey has done a good job of “keeping his nose clean”, both figuratively and literally.

I agree totally. Always choose safety over everything else, especially with children. But even ADULT women need to stop going for their “five mile outdoor runs”, particularly if the “run” takes them through a section of road or down a path without many cars or people going by. There are psychopaths lurking outside in every town in America, whether in their vehicle or on foot, that are specifically “hunting” for the perfect female victim , waiting for the perfect time and place to kidnap, SA, torture, and murder her. As frightening as it is to think that the danger of women (& children) being kidnapped exists in EVERY town in the US (and, most likely, every town on the planet), it’s a reality that we all need to start believing and accepting. If a lady feels she must “go for her evening run”, she should find the nearest YWCA or YMCA that has an indoor track, or she should buy a treadmill and do her running in the safety of her own home.
