(I'm not anti-religious by the way) I have had Communists tell me that mass murder took place under Communism, & that the standard of living is much higher in Capitalist countries. It doesn't matter. Marx was the "Messiah", Capitalism is the "Anti-Christ".

When japanese politicians and business leaders visited China and met Mao after the war, they tried to apologize for the atrocities the Imperial army committed. Mao waved his hand uncaringly and said, "No need to apologoze. Thanks to you we beat the Nationalist Army." He somehow managed to kill way more Chinese than the Empire of Japan did, and saw the Japanese as mere amateurs in this respect.
