Another reason the lack of transition animation isn’t jarring is because the animation itself is so fast. Even in the animation itself a lot can happen between frames so the fact a lot changes when it starts still feels natural and not lazily done.

With the first frame "snapping", the animation conforms to what Masahiro Sakurai also mentioned in his channel, about the importance of providing immediate player feedback and resisting the urge to make everything smooth.

Watching your vid showed me that the animation is much more intricate than I previously thought. You really put a lot of effort into showing us every little detail of Mario's hat throw and your frame by frame analysis revealed to me little details like Mario's nose physics, which I never would have discovered on my own. I can tell you love the game even more than I do and I want to thank you for making me appreciate the game's little details even more.

@@VideoGameAnimationStudyi actually like the concept of everything being a remix. When 1 reaches the apex of their own art style they can allude to the art style of others as proof of mastery over the fundamentals of drawing. Cause mastery of fundamental steps will inherently keep you from infringing on the rights of others; but the reception from the casual viewer may not be a welcome one cause some may mistake it as a imitation instead of a triumph’tribute’ or display of mastery in the Arts.😎

The animations are so smooth. I'm experiencing this game 6 years after it dropped (though I did play the Cap Kingdom and the first main Moon of the Cascade Kingdom previously), and the only complaints I have are that the Long Jump doesn't feel as good as in Super Mario 64 and that wall jumps feels heavy. Other than that, it's pretty good.

Never found throwing cappy that fun due to no means of controlling whether or not the capture mechanic is activated, but utilizing the cap as a temporary platform makes you rethink how to handle platforming challenges.

@@KaiJie-n8qYou understand it. The base mechanic is a decent idea, but the capture mechanic can interfere with the combat and platforming advantages. Will you do a Video Game Animation Study on the Jak and Daxter Trilogy + the Spinoff Racing: Jak X: Combat Racing, but as a 2-Parter Video for the Jak & Daxter Trilogy as a Part 1 video, and Jak X: Combat Racing as a Part 2 video, just to save yourselves the trouble of trying to cover up the four Jak and Daxter games that were made by Naughty Dog, just in case. But if you can do a video of all four Naughty Dog developed Jak and Daxter games after all? Then that would be great to see VGAS on the Video Game Animation Quality of the Naughty Dog developed Jak and Daxter games, you don’t have to cover up the two Jak and Daxter PSP Spinoffs: Daxter, and Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontiers, since those are the only last two Jak & Daxter Titles to not be developed by Naughty Dog of course. I’m a Longtime Cult Following Loyal Jak & Daxter Fan, and I have been in love with the Jak & Daxter PlayStation Franchise for a very very very very long time for 20+ years since I got the very first Jak & Daxter game with my PS2 as part of the Jak & Daxter PS2 Console Bundle as a special Christmas Present in 2001, and after having played the whole Jak and Daxter like 4 times, 1st time on my PS2, 2nd Time on my PS3 as the HD Collection, including the handheld version of the HD Collection I played on my PSVITA as my 3rd time, and I even played the Jak & Daxter PS4 Bundle after I purchase-downloaded the four Naughty Dog developed PS2 for my PS5 as my 4th time recently last year too of course, and I know that I as a longtime cult following Jak & Daxter Fan am just longing for the Jak and Daxter franchise to make a big legacy comeback be it as a Made From Scratch Remastered Trilogy Collection Title, a Direct Spiritual Sequel that retcons The Lost Frontier out of the original Jak & Daxter continuity, or a full on reboot made for the PS5 (⏳if as of 10-30-2023 we’ll ever get any miraculous news of the Jak & Daxter Franchise making a big return in the PS5 Lifespan Era that is⌛️), or for the PS6 (⏳if we haven’t gotten any news about Jak & Daxter coming to the PS5 console at all⌛️). But as a Modest Realist, I know I can’t really get my hopes up on Jak and Daxter ever returning in general, but I wouldn’t mind seeing a video game animation study on the Naughty Dog developed Jak & Daxter games since I just know those J&D games have a whole lot of 128-bit Squash and Stretch Animation in both the Jak & Daxter PS2 Titles’ Gameplay physics, as well as their In Game Cutscenes physics too, which should already make the four Naughty Dog developed Jak & Daxter PS2 titles (⏳and I’m using Naughty Dog’s name in it, because the very last Jak & Daxter title: The Lost frontier released on both the PSP and PS2 formats, just to avoid confusion of course⌛️) worth a Video Game Animation Study I would love to watch here on KZbin one of these days, I tell ya' VGAS guys what.

@Rextraordinaire Жыл бұрын
Nintendo made Doki Doki Panic. It started out as a concept for a Mario-type game with vertical scrolling; Shigeru Miyamoto worked on it. It was later finished into a game as a part of a licensing deal with Fuji Television to promote some TV event. It never released outside of Japan but when Nintendo chose not to release the original Super Mario Bros 2 in North America they instead took DDP and replaced Fuji's characters with their own and released that as SMB2
