Come on the journey with me to Accompong Town, a historical Maroon village located in the hills of St. Elizabeth Parish on the island of Jamaica. It is located in Cockpit Country, where Jamaican Maroons and indigenous Taíno established a fortified stronghold in the hilly terrain in the 17th century. They defended it and maintained independence from the Spanish and then later against British forces, after the colony changed hands.
The people named their community Accompong after an early African Maroon leader. After years of raiding and warfare, they established their autonomy with certain rights for limited self-government by a peace treaty with the British in 1738. Since independence in 1962, the government of Jamaica has continued to recognize the indigenous rights of the Jamaican Maroons in this area.

I believe that Maroons should fortify themselves with knowledge of their purpose in the island of the sea. That they're a treasure chest of Asra (Not 'Israel') and are those that hold the culture of the lost tribes intact in our region. I believe the maroons, under a young intelligent leader with a divine purpose should start their own outreach program to Jamaica instead of waiting on European cult leaders to create the system that facilitates remembrance to the people. Before you offer support for the so-called Maroons, first find out the treaty that they signed with British. Also find out their role in the in the suppression of slave uprising in Jamaica. And there's no tribe called Maroon, it's a mixture of different Africans tribes and people who escaped from slavery and formed different communities. These "Maroons" have to answer for their alliance with the British and their betrayal to the rest of African Jamaican. So don't be so quick to glorify them, yes they fought against the British in the beginning but they also fought against there fellow Africans. And even now they still want to separate from the rest of the African Jamaicans.

I don't have enough information about the Native American treaties to comment on them. The British were losing and the Africans had the upper hand. The Africans should have let the British know that the only peace they the British would have is if they release all the Slaves and left the island. You don't sign a so-called treaty that benefits the oppressor. Like i said before Maroons is just a generic term, they were all Africans. And regards to self preservation, if they had joined the Tacky Revolution which if successful would put Jamaica under real African rulership instead of what we have now. They the so-called Maroons help the British to destroy many enslaved Africans from uprising and also help to capture runaway slaves, who they the Maroons was once enslaved. There is not enough space here to go over that history but its a very, very sad history.

But when you look at Maroons they are not any darker than the rest of the population. For instance, one person told me that my brother is a maroon but I am not 🤣😂🤣 same mother & father... It was based on a line in his fingernail 😄 Reality is I am a maroon because my family says we are...and I believe that all black JAMAICANS are Maroon by virtue of 400 years of intermixing.

On my departure at the airport in Montego Bay, a worker putting sanitizer in my hands noticed the pigment in my palms were very dark and she said I come from the Maroon tribe. Why stop at the Akan or Ashanté? What about Timini, Mandé, Sousou? Why stop at Ghana and Twi? What about Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Senegal, Mali, and Twa? Keep moving back in time and things gets real interesting. The migration of seemingly entire communities back and forth, to and fro, oftentimes returning significantly different in culture than before previous migrating, forced or otherwise unforced. Some originating eastward and only establishing their dominance in West after significant time and external influence. It gets even more distinctly mix and modern ethnicities and borders start collapsing. I mean look what's been happening with the (now) so-called white race. Remember, there exists more diversity on that one continent than exists on all others combined......SO FAR....as modern academia is concerned. I had the pleasure of visiting a comping town about thirty years ago on January 6 it was a bus load of us from Kingston we heard about it and went we didn’t really know about the history we jus went to celebrate but this young man has taught me so much about the culture he makes me want to take an historical trip with my grandchildren who are thirsty for the knowledge. I remember meeting a maroon chief when I was in high school. Was very cool. Still remember to this day the presence he had about him. I see where it comes from. They need to start teaching our history in these schools
