Excellent video. That 6-2 win over Rangers is still one of my favourite games of all time. I had only been a fan of them for 2-3 years at that point, and of course the 3-1 defeat to ICT was still fresh in the memory (and the ICT manager lived next door, and his daughter was in my school, so there was no escape!). The first season in the CL was incredible too, beating Ajax, Juventus, Porto and Rosenberg (at the time a good side), and then Valencia in the cup at home. He absolutely changed everything, even though it wasn't always successful (finishing with nothing in 2023, and the infamous helicopter Sunday!). The successes of Strachan, Lennon, Deila, Rodgers and Postecoglou wouldn't have happened without Martin.

27th august the 6-2 game was my 18th birthday and what a birthday present I got that day I remember it well as I was there balling my eyes out when the third goal went in on 11th min

Couldn’t agree more I’d have been like 19 then or so! Was in a house down in Manchester watching it! It’s just one of those games that sticks out! Martin did change us and that’s why we’ve been the dominant for the majority of this century

💯!!! Remember the disappointment of the Basle game, was at Celtic park for the 1st leg of that tie... Then the demolition of Ajax... That was sweet!!! Wee Agathe prob had his best game ever!! classic times 🍀💪🍀

Only reason why the rangurs won the 9 in a row was through cheating and spending money on Players that they couldn't afford and were known as the blank cheque book club 😂☘️

Rangers had won 11 titles out of 12 before Martin O'Neill came. They were 21 points of Celtic in 1999-2000.

The point is just winning to stop 10 wouldn't have saved Celtic (much like Sevco today). Martin created a force that would go on to dominate for years to come. @@davidconnor8380
