All I can say Steve is a big thanks to MET. We were up at Dalby Forest for a week last week, and I thought that I didn’t really want to wear my full face and my dated GIRO was a little lacking especially with no Mips. Day one, 3rd run out on their excellent Blue, one moment enjoying the moment then the next a massive equivalent of a highside and I’m face down to the left of the trail wedged in with the Levo. Smashed prescription sunglasses smashed to pieces but luckily all the damage was around the eye where the frame dug in. Thankfully some riders stopped a few minutes later and pointed out that I was badly cut (totally obvious to this) and what happened was a pedal strike to a small tree stump beautifully hidden in the long grass just off line and one of them had the same on the previous day. Wasn’t until I got back to our digs in the forest than how much of an impact the MET helmet took, mainly on the temple and brow-line. See this did confirm the impact was much higher than I realised - it did its job so well but unfortunately now a write-off. Bottom line - when buying a lid ask, how much is my head worth??

You can’t put a price on your head….. as a child I was knocked off my bike, pre helmet in 1980. Full fave helmets are relatively cheap, light and comfortable. Always wear one

Hey i wanted to ask somthing becouse you are e mtb Professionals my question is about the himo m40 e-mtb should i buy it or is it a redflag becouse i only have 1500 euros and i want to buy a legal e mtb with mid drive motor and thats the only option i found its realy great bike with a lot of stuff in it and 110nm of torque i am concerned about one thing i dont see any reviews no where in youtube or on any website about that bike so thats the only thing thats stopping me from buying it could some one help please?

Interesting video. Also interesting that these helmets aren’t in the top 20 of Virginia Tech’s Helmet Test Lab’s ratings. A lot better helmets out there at better prices.

Is it true that Full Face MTB helmets are better than Full Face Motorcycle helmets ?

for mtb? yes. for motorcycle? no. these are made for lower speed crashes. motorcycle helmets are for higher speed

Yet ANOTHER advert Really getting close to unsubscribing here, EVERY video just seems like a paid promotion, either that or they just sit on the fence in a obvious attempt to not offend any manufacturers. Need to decide who your "customer" is. Us the viewers, or the industry and manufacturers. It's not just you, "Rob Rides EMTB" channel is even worse What we NEED is a EVO magazine type channel that tells it like it is rather than pander and fluff the industry manufacturers. EMTB's just seem to be a tainted industry, i will buy my first EMTB (after 40 years of riding MTB's) and i'm lost on what to buy as there just doesn't seem to be a non-tainted reviewer out there that isn't some sort of pair promotion industry sales channel. Do some long term side-by-side tests Tell it how it is when a motor fails Give real world costs of ownership (likely not possible as it seems EVERYTHING is a gift, free loaner or heavily discounted). Do some honest real world type stuff rather than swanning off around the world showing paid infomercials.
