I'm a die hard Celtics fan since 1981. I rooted for every single Jordan Finals opponent except for 1991.. So, I'm not a Jordan Stan, and have no agenda. Jordan was the best player I've ever seen. No disrespect, by quite a bit... He was unbelievable.

A lot of younger guys don't realize how much it sucked to be a fan of any other team when he was in the zone.. No player since or will ever have the gifts that Jordan had. His pts per game depended on how much crap the other teams top guys talked.. Just ask the Grizzlies. Kobe was very open on not liking to be compared to greatness as is MJ. LeBron doesn't hold a candle to MJ.

80's and early 90's NBA was spectacular! You had the Lakers/Celtics rivalry! Magic and Bird! You had "The Bad Boys", the Detroit Pistons (that was my team). @76Hawkeyes3 жыл бұрын
@@fidelsolis6070 I think he’s a hell of a super freak in most parts of the offense side of the court except for 3’s and free throws. He’s ok on the defensive side. But when you get a player like Mike that can do it on both sides of the court and always do what it takes to win rather it’s on the offense or defensive side he made it happen. I don’t think Lebron would be as special in the 80’s and early 90’s as he is. Think about how physical it was then and Jordan always found a way out. Today’s NBA is little league compared to how it used to be. Jordan would be twice as good if he was in today’s game.

@jordanjenkins16712 жыл бұрын
It's this kind of stuff that just sets MJ apart from his peers and all players that came after him. Hard to debate against a guy who made it his mission to prove himself better than every player he played against, and proved it on the court with all eyes on him.

I've always really respected the guys who are legends in their own right, who are humble enough to see and acknowledge someone who is truly superior. They all see Jordan as the goat, when technically many of them could argue that they are. Also it speaks for how truly great Jordan was, when the best players of all time all bow down, you know he's it.
@EverywhereAndNowhere3 жыл бұрын
Right. LBJ calls himself "King", which is corny as hell. You earn a nickname. You don't give it to yourself. Mike earned the nickname "Air" as well as "the GOAT ". I mean, Magic and Bird were calling him the best they'd ever seen before he'd even stepped on an NBA court. He played against them while getting ready for the '84 Olympics. He was crushing dudes even then. One thing MJ did when he got the ball was make everyone hold their breath...the defender, his own teammates, the refs, the crowd, the announcers, those at home watching, etc. Bron didn't(doesn't) do that.

I love the mentality Bird and Jordan had against one another, either of them could destroy one another. It's like a heavyweight boxing match: you and everyone around you know you're about to see hard-hitting action.
@devanshj71693 жыл бұрын
Bird's so underrated... Was the undisputed leader in a team comprising Parrish, McHale and Dennis Johnson and was in the 80's with Magic even included in the GOAT debate
@munir95272 жыл бұрын
Bird was such a spectacular shooter and scorer but Jordan as an athlete was just too great Jordan's skill level and athleticism combined made him unstoppable That's why he was able to drop like 63 against them
@the6footplustree752 жыл бұрын
@@munir9527 Larry Bird was as close to an all around player as you can get minus athleticism. Larry knew his weaknesses and his weaknesses made his strengths superior

What’s up man. Hope that you and family are doing doing well. And will like to say that your KZbin channel is so entertaining. The NBA finals was great I was so happy with Jimmy Butler. Jimmy Butler is not a stat stuffer.

@coryc70563 жыл бұрын
Jimmy did wht he could with wht he had just like the real goat mj at least his someone finally decided to give him a chance to show his greatness and I hope his franchise was real happy that they took that chance and boy did he shine

During the late 80s and early 90s there was zero debate on who was the best shooting guard in the league. Drexler wanted nothing to do with that conversation because he knew how Jordan would respond but the media did it to him anyway.
