I'm a die hard Celtics fan since 1981. I rooted for every single Jordan Finals opponent except for 1991.. So, I'm not a Jordan Stan, and have no agenda. Jordan was the best player I've ever seen. No disrespect, by quite a bit... He was unbelievable.

A lot of younger guys don't realize how much it sucked to be a fan of any other team when he was in the zone.. No player since or will ever have the gifts that Jordan had. His pts per game depended on how much crap the other teams top guys talked.. Just ask the Grizzlies. Kobe was very open on not liking to be compared to greatness as is MJ. LeBron doesn't hold a candle to MJ.

80's and early 90's NBA was spectacular! You had the Lakers/Celtics rivalry! Magic and Bird! You had "The Bad Boys", the Detroit Pistons (that was my team). And, then you had the greatest player that ever played, Michael Jordan, and the Chicago Bulls dynasty which was on the rise! I'm so glad, and blessed that I got to see this era!

If you were the best basketball player on the planet, you'd take offense too if someone made a comparison. MJ never took offense to being compared to Bill Russel, Magic Johnson, Bird, etc. But, if you compared him to anyone not on Mt. Rushmore he justifiably wasn't happy about it.

@@fidelsolis6070 I think he’s a hell of a super freak in most parts of the offense side of the court except for 3’s and free throws. He’s ok on the defensive side. But when you get a player like Mike that can do it on both sides of the court and always do what it takes to win rather it’s on the offense or defensive side he made it happen. I don’t think Lebron would be as special in the 80’s and early 90’s as he is. Think about how physical it was then and Jordan always found a way out. Today’s NBA is little league compared to how it used to be. Jordan would be twice as good if he was in today’s game.

It's this kind of stuff that just sets MJ apart from his peers and all players that came after him. Hard to debate against a guy who made it his mission to prove himself better than every player he played against, and proved it on the court with all eyes on him.

I've always really respected the guys who are legends in their own right, who are humble enough to see and acknowledge someone who is truly superior. Also it speaks for how truly great Jordan was, when the best players of all time all bow down, you know he's it.

Right. LBJ calls himself "King", which is corny as hell. You earn a nickname. You don't give it to yourself. Mike earned the nickname "Air" as well as "the GOAT ". I mean, Magic and Bird were calling him the best they'd ever seen before he'd even stepped on an NBA court. He played against them while getting ready for the '84 Olympics. He was crushing dudes even then. One thing MJ did when he got the ball was make everyone hold their breath...the defender, his own teammates, the refs, the crowd, the announcers, those at home watching, etc. Bron didn't(doesn't) do that.

MJ is the G.O.A.T.! Stop the debate.. Here is a fun fact for your lebron lover out there; James became the first player with a 50-point game in the Finals since Michael Jordan in 1993, but Golden State won in overtime and went on to sweep the Cavs for the championship. The last 2 NBA Finals sweeps have come against LeBron James' Cavs ('07 & '18).Sep 29, 2020.. the G.O.A.T. cant be swept...

Dude you make it sounds like the warriors and Cavs were on an even playing field. The warriors were a 100 times better than the Cavs. Getting swept is what's suppose to happen in that situation, even jordan on that Cavs team instead LeBron was getting swept. That Cavs team never had a chance. The warriors had 2 MVPs and 2 other all stars and lebron still stood above them all in that 50 point game. It was a miracle they were even in the game with a chance to win. I don't understand why people keep mentioning those finals sweeps. Those Cavs teams had no chance of winning. It was like Jordan getting swept by the Celtics in the 1st round. The Celtics were much better than those bulls just like the warriors and spurs were much better than those Cavs.

To all fans of today's NBA. Look at 3:08 It's wasn't easy to just drive into the paint back on Jordan's Era. Almost all defender was closing the paint. That makes Jordan more masterful that he can overpower a closed driving lane.
