Overall good video but lacking some (serious) cloud expertise. Let me elaborate, azure has the broadest compliance offering out of the big 3, has more regions than AWS and GCP combined, Microsoft owns the fiber (dark fiber) between DCs meaning data can travel on Microsoft's global private network, Microsoft's edge and hybrid capabilities are more mature than AWS think of Stack, ARC, IoT Edge, hybrid identity and many more (AWS has started to focus resources in this area but is way behind). Azure has dedicated HPC VMs with infiniband, cray computers and Remote DMA (AWS has none of this) and plenty 3rd party benchmarks show Azure has the performance superiority especially beyond 64 nodes. Same goes for analytic engines (I.e redshift vs SQLDW). Even Azures standard DC network is faster (40Gbps vs 25, figures constantly change though). Microsoft nicked Google's guy who developed kubernetes, AKS has richer scaling and integration features vs EKS. There is also a very far reaching relationship between the Gov and MSFT, Hololens, tactical field systems, embedded systems, desktops... thus building on a big ecosystem supporting single streamlined identity management. Sorry for the long post lol but in short you've glossed over many key areas and makes the video very novice. Having said all that, AWS is a great platform no doubt. Just don't assume because it's larger it's better. Ps I do enjoy your videos.

BOOM! Whilst I do agree with some of the commenters below, this is way too technical I also love how you managed to bring together the key details of why the market share of the cloud company doesn't influence their ability to handle a complex project like this one at all. :) As here the complexity will not be in sheer scale ... much more than that. Thank you for sharing this. @TechAltar: I'm not sure if you want to dive this deep into technical detail, but in future, these things might worth just a brief mention as it sheds light on different aspects of the deal which stops people thinking "Trump hates Bezos" and show that other stuff is in the background where the US govt techies might have made a good decision this time. PS I'm currently using a variety of cloud providers and seriously considering moving my stuff to Azure ... only one thing stopping me... I'm soooo used to AWSs admin interface and find Cloud9 really convenient to work in.
@tubester3584 жыл бұрын
Great list of other aspects to consider, but not *so much of an explanation though, is it 😅 I gotta look this up. I'm aware that Azure is a serious player in the machine learning game, although I don't know what most of that jargon really means. Microsoft's global scale/infrastructure and long history will def add up though. I think the main reason AWS is the top player is coz of their simple, scalable & high quality service design for small & large businesses - they're good at selling.

@nadeemshaikh78635 жыл бұрын
I don't understand why do people complain about ads in cheaper phones. There's a huge market that wants cheaper phones and can also bear ads if that lowers the cost of the phone. If anyone doesn't want ads, then they can simply pay more for a more costly phone that doesn't have those ads.
@UtkarshAmitabhSrivastava5 жыл бұрын
@@nadeemshaikh7863 The thing is, people are spoiled by cheap phones (which barely had any margin) in the last two years or so and now when the companies want/need to make some profit, people are complaining about the price increase or the ads. Similar thing is going on with Jio and other mobile operators.
@vsmh964 жыл бұрын
@@nadeemshaikh7863 i dont think these ads were "advertised" as a part of the phone so quite naturally they'd be taken aback when they discover the ads. AWS and Azure are basically equivalent when it comes to features and capabilities, I wouldn't say Amazon had an advantage there. AWS has more market share because Microsoft was a little late to the cloud race (but still not as late as Google), but those two are by far the best cloud providers right now and probably for the foreseeable future as cloud infrastructure requires massive investments. Microsoft is pushing as hard as possible on cloud and this is what made it a trillion dollar company.
