Present day economy makes living below your means seem impossible but it is still very feasible. Money is just a tool, use it to create the life you want

Tips only work when taken into a personal perspective, what works for you may not apply for the next person. 1. Practice "selective spending" I don't think "no spend" works out that much 2. Scale of preference on goals and even bills. 3. Save, no matter how little the percentage and Lastly invest; that's the only way to grow it without putting in the hours. Hope this works for you

Thanks for your video! Very relatable to me at this point of my life in my 50s, with no children. I always thought there’s something wrong with me coz I really just wanna stay home, walk around my “naturey” neighborhood with my doggie and hubby, and watch what’s good in Prime Videos. And eat outside our small but plant-heavy patio on a Sunday morning. And also …. Roam around my closest bookstores. I have a demanding job that requires a lot of decision-making but I like it and grateful for it. However, I realized I’ve always been an introvert nerd. I Don’t know a lot of people like me so it’s good to hear that it’s okay and I’m not missing out if I don’t travel all the time or eat out at nice restaurants or watch cool shows/events. That it’s okay to just enjoy my life, with whatever my own house and neighborhood offer …. Even if this is all the time. ☺️

I related to so much in this video! It’s okay to be boring :) I love the simplicity of meals at home, time in my garden, walks to enjoy the seasons, slow travel, time with family, reading, and learning new things. What is most important is knowing yourself and what brings you joy. Thank you for the reminder!

I recently started to get into the idea of minimalism because I found more happiness with owing less. Thank you for your channel. Change is hard, but I am sure I can do it. We just have to believe in it.

You are right on with so much of your content. Those small impulse purchases DO add up over time. I heard this saying once and I believe it rings true: "The chief cause of failure is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment." Think about that every time the impulse to spend money comes along.

I love that you are able to find different layers of the topic minimalism and how we can apply it to our daily lives. This topic particularly hits home because ever since I’ve been mindful about approaching life with a minimalist viewpoint, I’m saving money in ways I didn’t think was possible. I am able to feel content with what I already have. With that said, I’m also learning wealth doesn’t necessarily mean the dollar amount, but the feeling of accomplishment, knowing priorities, and feeling proud. Thank you for providing an opportunity to self-reflect and remind myself again what is most important to ME and what brings ME joy.

I love the concept you introduce at the very beginning of this video: re-directing your funds. Most people don't realize - trillions are circling the world, each and every day, looking for a place to land. Taken locally, each person's hard earned money is doing the very same. Intentionally directing it toward what you want, guarantees that you will have a life you can be proud of.. Intentionally re-directing it from what you don't want,to what you want, guarantees that you can have a life free from the enslavement of debt. Thx. This was my discovery the day.

I’m so glad I found your channel! I have just recently made the move to minimalistic thinking and I’m in the process of getting rid of SO MUCH clutter and “stuff” from our home. I was always trying to buy more bins and baskets and even adding pieces of furniture to “organize” our things and I finally realized we just have too many things. It was making me feel anxious all the time-just a sense of anxiety/dread in the back of my mind and I never really understood why I was always feeling that way. I have gone through a LOT of things and I’m amazed how much more I still need to go through. I feel like we are basically living paycheck to paycheck (although thankfully we have retirement funds and are putting away money for our kids’ education) but we seem unable to get ahead with our savings and when I was taking all of the unused stored stuff out of our house I couldn’t help thinking how much of that money could have been saved instead. It’s still going to be a long process but I will keep working on it and hopefully in a few months or a couple of years I can have much less stuff and much more saved for a rainy day! I love your emphasis on simple living! So necessary for our mental health as well!

Absolutely agree. I’ve been saving for years to put my son through university. Having a goal that is close to my heart and matters to me a lot, made saving so much easier. It’s easier to walk away from things and realise they don’t matter as much to me as what I’m saving for.😊

You are right on again. Things do not buy happiness, the car, shoes, purses, tv’s that you thought were so important when you bought them now are gone, old and forgotten. Happiness and freedom does not come from a huge company with lots of employees if you own it either because if you are stressed, work 16 hours a day, all you are is a slave to it. Happiness comes from freedom to do what you want each day. Thanks for your sweet thoughts.

I had my own big business and me and my husband were working so hard but we weren’t happy, we hardly got to see our friends , family because of it and the biggest regret was not spending more time with my mother in law before she passed away, so I closed it and back scaled it so I could work less hours and just enjoy life, sure it was a massive pay cut but I had everything I wanted in life already from that business. Best thing I ever did in life ❤
@danat59839 ай бұрын
The pay adjustment is very hard to contend with isn't it? I was in your shoes as well and my health was falling quickly after 15 years of over 80 hours a week and no life. We made a lot of money but I was so unhappy. But it has been 100 percent worth it. I hated my previous career and it took a few not so great jobs before I landed something prefect. I'm so grateful I was able to put my health first because pretty much everything is dependent on it. God job and good luck!
@sashawilkinson69789 ай бұрын
@@danat5983 yer it took a while for me to adjust, and Covid took all my savings to survive which wasn’t the best. But my happiness matters more. My health was also declining mentally and physically, I feel a million times better now, but it took a lot to heal. That’s when I realised burn out was a thing.
