A great inside look at the thoughts and feelings of these experiences during your childhood, hurdles and finding that spark. Great video Super Anthony.

The Mario 3 vid is something I've been working on for a long time that some folks know about which is an analysis for Mario 3 vs. Mario World and why I believe Mario 3 to be a much more sophisticated and deeper design.

"I couldn't wait for my babysitter to die" Truer words have never been spoken. I feel you agony had the same kinda experience but glad i did in the end.

Yea, and the funny thing is when you're like 6 a 14 year old seems like an adult but in reality you're just dealing with another child who wants to get past level 5-4

Gosh, what a neat journey about how you got into game development! I'm glad that you were finally able to get your hands on Super Mario Bros (I could feel the agony of waiting for the babysitter to be done with her run, though also it's nice that she helped with setting up your NES), overcome your depression thanks to The Legend of Zelda, and ultimately become inspired! c: It's probably either been talked about elsewhere or is in the works, but now I have to wonder about your first experiences with Tetris, heheh! (Speaking of that, I'm kinda just repeating Phil Fish's thoughts, but it's amazing how Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, and Tetris could be thought of as "The Classic Game Trifecta" or something, meeeeeep)

Thanks! As far as Tetris, I don't know that there's a terribly compelling story, I actually edited out parts of my Tetris video where I mentioned that I played it as a little kid on DOS when my uncles played a bootleg version called NYET. Tetris was a game I enjoyed a lot back then but grew on me more and more as an adult.

I thought of a Sim City game where instead of Will Wright, Miyamoto is your advisor instead. When you get to 100,000 people, you unlock a Easter Egg. Miyamoto is happy with your progress at this point, and he departs back to Japan. His son becomes your new advisor. It will randomly pick Mario or Luigi to be your new advisor.

I admire your creativity. I would play that! Too bad that wasn't in the SNES version =D
