No matter how good the KZbin content, these AI voices just lose my interest. They are so real you don't notice them being fake until you realize there is no person behind it. And then that a creator producing content on this level would never be able to read so smoothly or have that timbre voice. We are moving fast into a synthetic void.
@upg3155 ай бұрын
I am fairly sure that both the artwork and even the SCRIPT are AI generated, so I wouldn't even suggest that there's anything here of value. The script shovels bland platitudes repetitively and without much of a thesis to begin with - it sounds coherent at first, until you focus on what is actually being said, at which point it really starts to feel like a bland soup of half developed and stale self help platitudes thrown together in a pale imitation of prose. Just one vaguely relevant half-thought bleeding feverishly into another in that telltale AI fashion - like a drunk person doing a free association exercise. If I'm somehow wrong and a human author actually did write the script (as opposed to a prompt or two), then it's almost worse somehow. It's inane, insipid, poorly structured, and ultimately exploitative of people who have to live with real mental illness and might end up turning to this kind of canned drivel for hope and comfort. On the one hand, I also feel like a void is at our collective doorstep, but on the other hand I'm really starting to suspect that AI hype is primarily smoke and mirrors, because I've never seen anything made by this supposedly revolutionary tech that wasn't cheap and shabby, like a million monkeys on a million typewriters have somehow, by total chance, managed to write the screenplay for a Neil Breen movie. That's kind of what gets me the most. What it vomits out has never actually gotten better in quality. It's just gotten better at disguising the fact that it's terrible, enough to fool the careless. It's flippin exhausting. I feel like the ineffable forces behind late capitalism have finally managed to automate even the gaslighting...
@funkymonk9845 ай бұрын
@@upg315 I enjoyed reading your reply. I agree with your assessment of the script. If one antecipates and prepares for the challenge ahead, of course one reduces anxiety. But anxiety usually happens when things, being dynamic as they are, "change" whatever you've been preparing to. You can prepare deeply for your trip, but is the "road block ahead, detour here" sign that causes you anxiety. Word of advice, when anxious: get tired physically. Run until you run out of breath. An already racing heart cannot run anxious, because it "can't run 2 races", and you rebalance yourself. Works miracles for me.

This was very insightful. I used to also look at anxiety as an enemy to be defeated. Now I have a different perspective. Anxiety is just an internal alarm, evolved to warn us of danger. An alarm is a good thing because it can keep us safe. Therefore, I don't look to disconnect the alarm, nor do I ignore it, like many would suggest. I rely on that alarm for protection, just like I wouldn't take the batteries out of my fire alarm or just ignore it when it sounds. What if there's a real fire and I don't notice it and respond in time? It's telling you there's something you need to look at, and maybe that's what you should do. "Stupid anxiety won't shut up about finals tomorrow. Go away anxiety!" No, you're anxious because you haven't studied. However, sometimes alarms can be overly sensitive and/or produce false alarms, often through faulty programming. So it's important to gauge whether the alarm needs adjusting. Maybe my burglar alarm is too sensitive and goes off every time a strong breeze hits the window. I know the sensor needs addressing. So too, if my internal alarms are going off needlessly, I should dial back the sensors. I do this through exposure therapy and cognitive reframing. "Oh, I spoke in front of the crowd WITHOUT making a fool of myself. In fact, everyone applauded. That's not a situation to fear and avoid." Over time, the anxiety is lessened or no longer arises at all. And if it does, I'm able to silence it effectively because I KNOW through experience it's a false alarm and I'm not just telling myself that to avoid a crappy feeling. The anxiety of having anxiety is usually worse than the anxiety of the situation itself. And that will persist as long as you continue to view anxiety as a foe. Reframe that, be grateful for your anxiety device, but say "Thank you, but I don't need you right now" when appropriate.

This is a little off-topic, but you mentioned having anxiety around your view count. I'm a content creator as well (this is my personal KZbin) and I'd love to share a piece of advice that really helped me. "Imagine all of your viewers/likes in one room." After I started doing that, my 500 likes felt like a lot more. They could fill up an entire bar!
@TophinatorStreams5 ай бұрын
It’s a little more complicated than that. But yes, (as a small channel, myself) any kind of positive feedback sets its standards and makes us happy in the short-term. 500 is nothing to sneeze at & congratulations btw! But that’s the short term perspective, to imagine a room with the number of likes, but then the standard is still there, telling you to “do it again” like you have the ability. The video makes a good point to showcase that addictive side to do anything for more likes. Keep up the great work and try to only work on what you want, something you can still be proud of, even if you never get the same result again.

Body and mind are one. Anxiety shows up as a feeling in your body, that may or may not contain thought information. To heal the mind, heal the body. Healing the body means becoming one with the body. Sink your mind into your body, like water filling a sponge. Be present. Now. Open your spine. Open all your joints. This allows you to go deeper into your body. Feel your energy and be one with it. Be mindful without judgement. Let go of the inner critic and commentator. Merge with the present moment in stillness. In this stillness allow your emotions to express themselves. Feel them. Release them. Ask yourself: What do I really feel? Feel the root cause. Now. Relax deeper and fully feel the emotion in your body without labeling it. Release. Let go. Fill up the place of the emotion in the body with the love you truly are. And smile. That’s one powerful way to change the inner world, which we use in qigong. 😊 Btw you can release anger by laughing! All emotions are the same underlying energy.

Instead, project yourself into the future, fifteen minutes beyond the successful conclusion of whatever you're up to, and inhabit THOSE feelings. It's no more unrealistic than projecting the scary past, which ruins everything.

I really like the video. I agree that it shouldn't be about the numbers. But I also know it's very hard to keep yourself focussed on just the quality. One's ego has tricky ways for justifying some choices we make that (if you look closely) have more to do with trying to get them numbers and acknowledgement than quality. The teachings of Musashi are indeed very helpful. I came across his philosophies when my inner compass was spinning. It's much better now, but I do still struggle. The outside world does not hold the same standards nor uphold honour. This makes navigating through life at times challenging. I'd love to go back in time to hear what his thoughts are on that.! 🙂

Dont know how Musashi can know what a live of fear and anxiety brings? He did not lived it himself, so what is he talking about? The illusion of meaning? Making yourself an enemy? Fighting your whole life against yourself? As you can hear it here Musashi was utterly scared of a ordinary life. The root of Musashis actions is fear. He lived a life of becomming. If you become you are not. So he struggled his whole life becomming something. Why do you want to become something? Playing the becomming game is what every human is doing. Or the whole teaching of musashi got misunderstood because as i pointed out: Becomming means your action is rooted in fear. Thats obvious if you think about it.

I think it may be instructive to consider that people like Musashi lived a life acquiring those raw materials needed to produce such insight. I'm not sure that seclusion and meditation for a common 21st Century Westerner would produce insights - and more importantly the volition to live them out - on the level of a Musashi. I'm not suggesting that we live a life of combat or that we should desire a standard of living less than we have. I'm only saying that the acquisition and, again, more importantly, the application of such insight, isn't quick work. It cannot be attained and sustained after a retreat to the mountains but rather through a lifetime of acquiring the requisite materials, a lifelong struggle analogous to what Christian doctrine calls "sanctification."

Natural emotion is what we had before we invented language, emotion is meant to work as a sense, like sight or touch. When we distort reality with words we lie about reality and intensify events and twist the world. When we describe reality accurately we have natural emotions. There are no good or bad emotions. You dont want to feel good when your dog dies. Nor do you want to have no fear or anxiety when you should. Its when you have bad emotions that are not necessary because you described reality in a terrible way that there are problems. example You cant Always do anything. Please don't call it a craft though. Freemasons like to use that word.

This was just what I needed right now. Been stressing over a game that I have been working on for the better part of a year. Now that I have put so much time and effort into it, I start to get intrusive thoughts that make me worry if I will be able to finish it or not. Or if it will "be worth it" in the end. Definitiv going to read up on Musashi, and I think your channel has well earned another sub.

What's the game
@insertusername73424 ай бұрын
@@AngryPeasant125 It is a third person action RPG with a gameplay cycle inspired by the flash game "Swords and sandals 2". That`s the short description at least. No marketing materials are made yet. But there is a early prototype out on itch.

I'm not that familiar with Musashi. Based on this video, I see a close parallel to Seneca and Marcus Aurelius.
