How much BOOST does the FL5 Type R make?

Boost is set to see a certain torque figure. Once it sees that it drops the boost. Until tuning becomes available to turn that off you won't see max. Max is around 25.6 psi or something like that

I have a 2022 accord 2.0t and want to upgrade it a lil you think it'll be reliable long term with hondata stage 2 or k tuner pre set tunes. Only upgrades right now are intercooler and piping and hasport motor mounts. Not going to beat on it all the time as it's my daily but I want it a bit faster

Something’s is wrong with this one? Leak somewhere. Mine holds around 18psi all they through. Spikes 21-23psi on the lower rpm range.

I'm at 6K ft. above sea level. Air is very thin here.

@@accoRding2Joel Shouldn't the car make more boost to compensate for the thin air to meet the torque target? I live at 5k elevation and own an Elantra N. I see 18 psi in the mid range which drops to 15-16 at redline. Normal boost for the Elantra N is 15psi at sea level throughout the entire powerband. Surprised to see the FL5 turbo fall off so hard in the higher RPM's.

That would be over spinning the turbo in the manufacturer's eyes, which can hurt it. So they don't

@@accoRding2Joel I'm sure the turbo has an operating range which of course will not exceed even in abnormal conditions like high elevation. I'm just surprised to see the fl5 fall off so hard at high elevation

I hits 25.3 max and peaks at 23 psi idk why you’re hitting only 10psi??? Boost leak

Just threw the fl5 turbo on my accord and it does the same thing as it make most it’s boost in 3k-5800 rpm
