Oh my god! Condensed like that it's incredibly quick progress. From instagram I would not have guessed that it was just one year. I didn't realize how many projects you did, congrats! and this video is also really impressively designed, love the combination of workflow and result

@@TiNKLeFilms Thanks, there is so much too learn and almost all of it looks to be fun (save for UV unwrapping atm) but your video stresses the importance of personal projects to actually apply whatever is taught in the tutorials; so I appreciate that.

Did you have any art knowledge before learning blender?
@Parzivalsoasis Жыл бұрын
I just started blender recently. Love watching your progress. Ive done some basic tutorials but, My main focus I want to do lego animation. Should I start there and learn as much I can and learn things when I need them. I only have completed 3 tutorials about 10 hours worth of stuff.

Do you had past experiences with 3d before blender? Saw your boss fight scene and is completely baffled with the amount of progress!

Hey, thanks :) I've been working as a professional video editor for many years. So I know Premiere Pro, Photoshop and a little bit of After Effects. I've never used a real 3D software before. But I'm sure that my background knowledge of those other programs helped me to get along faster than e.g. someone who has never used any of them before.

how the heck did you record this while trying to learn everything... GAH im overwhelmed just trying to do simple stuff LOL
@TiNKLeFilms14 күн бұрын
Haha, if you look closely you can see that for most projects the screen recording is just me moving some things around in the finished scene. I didn't screen record while working on these projects. I did it after the fact and opened all my old projects and recorded some Blender interface footage for this video. The first project that I recorded while I was working on it, was the Battle of Hoth scene.

Wow this is incredible progress! Curious how many hours you were spending each day on learning Blender? To me it looks like this was a full-time job 😄 and you were spending 40 hours a week on this!

Haha, thanks :D And yes, for the first three months or so that's pretty much how it was. I was between two jobs at that time and had a lot of free time :)

How did you make the Lego explosions?
@TiNKLeFilms Жыл бұрын
In short: first you need a "real" explosion element (an imported .vdb or make a simulation in Blender) and then I turned it into Lego bricks with an add-on called BrickFX.
