It's nice that the Wizard is letting you do some wrenching in his garage with his tools. Knowing how to do some of this stuff is worthwhile knowing how if you are going to drive these older cars. I'm pretty sure the wizard knew, but I'd have been pretty ticked if he opened his yap and spoiled the fun. A wise master knows that a pupil sometimes only learns the hard way. Plus, it's content gold.

Also tip Hoovie, For older cars with fuel injection, always turn key and let fuel pump pump up, then start, it saves alot of issues that could happen

This is why you make a list of all the things you need to do to a car, go through and examine each thing on the car, and then decide what needs to be done first. The water pump should have gone first so that the reinstall of the belts covered the install if the new belts.

IMPORTANT: You MUST pry the water pump upwards and at the same time tighten the bolts. It has to seal in two angles. The gasket to the block and the rubber seal against the head. Yep, in Gothenburg we are sometimes idiots.

One of the first cars I ever owned was a Volvo 960 brick wagon almost just like that. That same plate under the transmission overdrive also needed to be resealed. I miss that car! It was a 2l 4 cylinder with DOHC type which only sold in Portugal and Italy because of engine size tax there. Awesome car, 200cv and 100km/h in 2nd gear!!! Cool channel, keep it up!!!
