@@thisweekintrucking Sure OK, in this video Dylan said he bought a truck for $75,000 . Are there any reputable companies that are leasing new Box Trucks that include Maintenance in the price? I'm just curious if that would be the way to go, thanks!

@@ChristoStrom Got an answer straight from the source. Dylan said this: Most leasing companies (International, Mack, Freightliner) want to see 2 or 3 years of business before they go in with a long-term lease. That will leave you with a short lease like Penske, they charge around $500/month with 50 cents per mile. Penske and Ryder have trucks for sale $25,000. That's like $500/month or $125 a week for a truck payment. Way better than the $350 a week I was paying when I started. I bought from a truck dealer and learned the hard way. (What maintenance is included depends on the lease agreement)

Also for his dispatch fee isn't it typical 10% or somewhere between 8-12%? Thank you so much for all this information. Im wanting to get into the industry but i was wondering how feasible it is with today's rates. I think this video provided some clarity. Thank you so much!

That's right, dispatching fees tend to be around 8-12%. Dylan is dispatching his own loads, so the value there could be what his load board costs.

Does his cost per mile incorporate his driver for 0.55 cents per mile?

Yes, CPM included the driver pay. We recommend that, even to people driving their own trucks, so you know you could hire a driver and still be profitable.
