I crashed my cbr500r 2022 3weeks ago. It was 35-45km/h to the side of a car that stopped in middle of a turn I bended the fork and all frontal and side fairings got either scratched or torn of where the bolts helds them and that to replace would have costed me around 4000€ at honda dealership out of 6750 for brand new bike here in Slovakia. Im waiting for the parts from US its 1/3 of a price +shipping.
@MotoSquidYT6 ай бұрын
Damn, I hope you're all good man. Head on collisions are terrible at any speed... looks like you got a bit unlucky and whatever could've broken did break. That's a very costly repair, I wouldn't have guessed that it would be 1/3 of the price... definitely way better to get everything shipped to you. Hope your repair goes well and stay safe brother✌️

Thanks man! I'd love to send a link to it, unfortunately I can't find these online. The Honda dealership offered me a bunch of different crash protectors and I just picked one out. It's not made by Honda, but they sold them there so I just made it easier for myself.

Repairs are crazy expensive, all those things add up and then you're in shock. And my crash wasn't even that bad, a guy commented that his dealership would charge him €4000 for all repairs. Lesson to learn - don't crash bikes😂

Had similar crash as You ...and at the Honda dealership they charged me more than a half of the price of brand new bike. Maybe more demaged than yours. But insurance covered it Im lucky that I have it. I realised that I have the same problem with steering after the crash 🤔
@MotoSquidYT5 ай бұрын
Maybe your damages were a bit worse or you live in a country where labour and parts cost a bit more. You're lucky that you had full insurance and they covered it. If you have the exact same thing (lightly dented frame), it's not an issue at all and doesn't affect steering at speed... only when you do a full turn when you're standing still
@mareksakalik43625 ай бұрын
@@MotoSquidYT Yeah They had to replace front wheel and tire also becouse rim was bend after bike slided into a traffic sign. Suspension was okey but also brake disc had to be replaced gear lever and of course left and front fairings and lot of little things. But its important that we are back on roads and alive. We learn from it and keep on going. Ride safe bro keep doing what You do. Best of luck!!

@@mareksakalik4362 Damnn, your bike was definitely damaged more then😅 I didn't even have to replace the wheel or tire, not even the brakes. You're right, the most important thing is that we're alive, learnt from our mistakes and we keep going. I appreciate it bro, stay safe✌️

What a beautiful country! No police, no speed cameras superior society! Oh and BTW was it not insured??
@MotoSquidYT6 ай бұрын
Thanks bro! Unfortunately we still have cops here, but they're pretty chill for the most part. When it comes to speed cameras, 99,9% of them take pictures only from the front, so bikers can still have fun... just have to watch out for 2 or 3 speed cameras in the whole city that take pictures from the rear lol. Of course it's insured, but only for liability, meaning if you cause an accident, the insurance company will pay for damages caused by you, but won't pay for your damages. You'd have to get full coverage, which gets very expensive very quickly over here, especially with bikes.

@@MotoSquidYT man, the full coverage insurance (casco) cost only like 300-350€ / year, so you could have fixed the whole bike even for less money that you actually paid now :D (the deal here is in case of an accident 10% or 250€ is your part to pay the rest is the insurance company, so if the damage is half of the bike like 5000€ you would only have to paid 500€)
@MotoSquidYT6 ай бұрын
@@johnnyhun1 we kind of have the same thing where you have to pay a certain percentage and the rest would be covered by the insurance company. It would've been better because I could've went for the full (approx. €4750) repair and paid less than what I paid now for smaller repairs
