First off buddy good for you. You are doing a great service fixing things and putting them back in service. Second off trying to improve your community by fixing the boat ramp. Thirdly F that guy who left the sand there , he is a jackass who puts his crap on public property for storage and then complains when you are spreading it out. You keep making the world a better place

A couple things to address.... The Sea Doo is sold. Thank you for all the messages 🙂 The sand thing is not that big of a deal... if he doesn’t spread it out/ move it in a few weeks I’ll just go spread it myself. No, we don’t have an HOA I can go complain to or anything (nor would I) and no this isn’t a public lake front, it’s private for our road. I’m sure if other people asked him to move it he would but my family is really the only ones using the lake front so people don’t care what it looks like right now. I hope my neighbor doesn’t watch my videos 😅😂 As for the gas gauge I didn’t really address it in the video but it still worked with the broken needle. But after I replaced the needle it stopped moving... so if I had to guess I probably messed up the spring system in it. Either way.. I’m not buying a new one. It not hard to lift up the seat and see how much gas and oil I have. I don’t believe it’s worth the $140+ for a new one. That’s pretty much it. If you have any other questions you can comment below⬇️

There is a fuse on the circuit board of the fuel baffle / pick up. You can remove the baffle and solider over the fuse on the circuit board. The fuel gauge will work fine after that. Done it 100's of times. I was at one time known on ebay and other forums as "Seadoo_Dude". Nice vids.

Watching in 2022, awesome series, great job tiding up the water access, everyone in that street even the neighbor hood that uses the area for a boat ramp should write a letter to your local council or what ever you call it in the US and ask them to build or get a permit to build a proper boat ramp.

Helpful hint.,or idea for packing your wheel bearings on marine style trailers. It's better to use marine grease than just regular grease it last longer.& keeps moisture out of your bearings to aswell.& provides less wear& tear on the bearings theirselfs that way. It's specially designed for that purpose. Just Another heads up tip. Awesome seadoo jetskis though.& designs on them. Good luck on.& with your build to. I hope all goes well on it.

What gives that guy the right to have sand dumped on public land. I understand you not wanting to start anything with a neighbor but that is so rude of him to take up the whole center of the beach with a sand mound. If he wanted it in his yard that is where it should have been dumped not on the beach. Great job with the Sea doo as well as your other projects.

What gives him the right to say anything about the sand if it’s on public land. In fairness the neighbor basically dumped trash, so theres a fine usually involved per most city ordinance.

He can't retain ownership of sand he stored on the public common for a prolonged time. The town or the HOA can charge him storage fees or seize the sand in lieu of costs. He's clearly treating that spot like it's his personal patch of ground when it's a common element. You also weren't taking "his" sand - just spreading it like the wind and tides will do eventually anyway. It's wonderful that you showed the enjoyment of the finished projects. Many rebuilders just show a quick burn out and that's all. If the price is right then sell it to finance the next dream. You can always buy another one later on.

I'll throw my 2-cents in on the sand deal! If you do live on a private road, then your entire road is maintained privately, not by the "normal" DOT like normal roads. Usually the HOA decides how maintenance is handled (& is paid for, meaning how much each homeowner pays a month or year) by all homeowners. In your situation, your neighbor is theoretically in the wrong if he didn't get permission from your HOA (& this is assuming you have one...someone should be responsible for maintaining the shared road!) As such, in theory, this would also mean that you would've also needed to get "permission" to spread your rock or shale (& I'm all for it, I think you're doing a great thing...I'm just pointing out that if you have an HOA, all homeowners would have to agree on it just as much as they would have had to agree on him putting that sand down there in a pile, whether it was for his kids to play on or to spread out along the bank, which I'm sure he didn't get!!) I can absolutely understand not causing a problem-its easier to not make a rumble with people you live near, however, obviously the sand has been there longer than normal & he's using it as his "public" storage space. Why would one buy sand to spread along the bank, not spread it, then claim it's to let their kids play on, but the sand is down the street from their house?!? Lol! Sounds like a load of bs to me...and to make the point even more clear, it's still sitting there two weeks later!! If you do have an HOA, you could simply notify the "president" or whoever runs it, anonymously, and let them know about the sand being in the way. Also, with it being piled up like that near a water area, public or private, it potentially creates a problem if there were an emergency. If someone were to drown and an ambulance needed access, the sand could possibly prohibit them from doing their job! If one of your neighbors houses were on fire & a fire truck needed to access that area to refill a truck (this has happened where I live!), that sand could be in the way!) So that alone should be cause enough for the dude to have to move the junk! Ok that's my 12-cents that no one asked for!! Lol!
@deanlindholm86634 жыл бұрын
I agree 100% on the HOA, I might even suspect that the guy who dumped the sand there is the president, or at least on the board with the rest of his buddies, making them entitled shitheads who are above the rules. There is no HOA on the planet that would say it's ok to dump your crap on community property, ESPECIALLY a lakefront area, which is what leads me to believe he's the president and a prick

You did an outstanding job with the restoration of your Sea Doo. You have less than $1300 in a Sea Doo that looks brand new. I figured you have another $200 in paint supplies. $1500 is one hell of a bargain. Now, if you paid for the labor to restore the Sea Doo, you would be upside-down in the costs and would not be worth it.
