I don’t think anyone being a keyboard will ever truly be in agreement. But I tell you what I love it! I like that you and your dad built it up and use it for everything. I think it just comes down to user preference as it is with cell phones. They do similarly things but everyone likes what they like. Keep at it and way too stay positive! 👍🏻

Greetings R,W,&R my view is you built the Roxor for your needs (and mine). The only thing missing for us up here in Canada (at least for me) is an enclosed cab system with a heater and variable wiper - as our weather includes the cooler seasons with about 5 months of snow. And if this rig had a front PTO for a snow blower that would be the icing on the cake. As this could replace the need for a tractor in many applications. If you burn wood for heat - kindly show us a video where you haul out a trailer full of wood which would demonstrate a good sized load - and what it can do for towing. Thanks for sharing your upgrades and a useful cost analysis of the upgrades.

Thanks for the comment and stopping by, yeah it doesnt stay too cold down here very often! Its 94 degrees (F) here now and I see some northern US states got snow already. Anyways, I dont know if it's what you're looking for, but I already have a video up from months back of pulling a trailer full of logs and brush when I was cleaning up around my shop.

Thanks for this video, currently doing my research to find what I want/need and I`m very glad I found this channel. SXS are great but I need a little heavier and more rugged sometimes so I went looking to see whats in between and found Roxor. But now after watching your channel and doing TONS of other research its kind of looking like Roxor can be upgraded such that it can cross over and do both of what I need~ some good old fun trail riding not too crazy but handle the tough spots and also, go to work for me when I need, handle that and last a long time.

Thanks for keeping it real. Will be picking mine up Friday and taking it into Diesel Freak. Here in Mighty Michigan.
@Wooskii15 жыл бұрын
I really Appreciate you throwing the price out there, because I am interested in the Roxor. In my mind it's between swapping a diesel into a Jeep or starting with a Roxor... I think I am personally leaning towards an axle swap on the Roxor, maybe junkyard D44s? I would need to do alot of research/ measuring tho. Looking forward to more videos, if you keep putting them out, and the axles hold up, I'll probably be leaning towards using the stock axles. BTW, did you see the guy that build a Roxor w/ 40's and entered in KOH and a rock crawling event? Let me know if you want a link...
@RedWhiteRoxor5 жыл бұрын
There Is dana 44s under the roxor they are Just re branded. I only changed the material of the actual axles, the stock ones are decently stout. I just didnt want to worry about any of it lol. And yeah that's Jesse haines rock crawler. It's a monster lol I dont think it's even a roxor anymore it's a frankenstein
@Wooskii15 жыл бұрын
@@RedWhiteRoxor I agree that thing is barely a Roxor anymore, but somehow it made it into the "stock" class... To be honest I completely forgot Roxor's have d44's LoL, but my thinking is that the d44 has been around forever and comes in different variants; HP or LP, ring gear sizes, and the JK era 44's are completely different than the TJ era 44s (I don't think it would be worth buying JK D44'S tho) so I would need to do the research to compare. Just an Idea I haven't really thought through yet (a Ford 8.8 might be a good width, cheap, easy to find and mod) The front axle is the tricky one🤔

I'm Lovin the build!! She looks great and is gonna be one hell of a machine! But Dang!! Your making me very happy with my Joyner Trooper 1100c.c build.. -$10,500- (Brand new! with mechanical lockers stock!) -$1,200- Self-built amr 500 supercharger kit(all from ebay)(with fuel controller and AFR gauge) -$750 5 - 30" power F (big horn style)tires (Amazon) -$1,200 Fox air shocks all the way around -$250- led lights and light bars (ebay) GRAND TOTAL= $14,800 And the Joyner also has a car drive train and is able to be registered either street legal or as a UTV...
@RedWhiteRoxor5 жыл бұрын
It's all a matter of preference I guess. I could care less to street legal this thing. I have a truck to drive on the road, and I've been there with that type of vehicle (rzr1000) and it looks like it has the same low strength materials used in the build
@superchargedadventures5 жыл бұрын
First I want to say.. I really enjoyed the build of the Roxor! Something different than a major branded UTV! That's cheaper but of a high build quality, just like my rig! It's just that, to make it truly 4x4 capable, It took some outrageously priced aftermarket parts! That took the cheap right out of it.. Something I didn't expect I guess!! Now.. as to the Joyner! I have mine registered as a UTV! I know that "street legal" thing probably struck a chord because of all the Jeep talk in here!! LOL! But, I run the streets as little as possible! I don't want to spend $700 a year in offroad tires because I'm wearing them out on pavement! But as for the quality of a trooper!. There's no low strength materials or thin walled tubeing like a RzR. And unlike a RZR it's a full tube chassis. That's what makes it weigh 700 pounds more than RZR. Something I had to overcome with a supercharger to keep up with all the lighter C.V.T rigs.! And in my years of owning it.. I haven't met with a major branded UTV owner yet, that wasn't impressed by it.. and it's "heavy duty" like build quality!

What exactly are the strengths? You said the main weakness was ground clearance. I imagine it isn't as athletic, or fast, but it seems closer to a tractor than a sxs, so it would have all the strengths of one as well, right? I assume the Diesel can pull a lot better than those little tubro motors the other brands offer.

I think I have the same mindset. I would love to swap a Cummins R2.8 into a CJ7 to TJ era Jeep, but maybe starting with a Roxor is a better idea.
@musician4454 жыл бұрын
The roxor got on my radar because of the price, potential for extreme reliability, diesel (i can fill it with my diesel storage tanks), and the fact that it doesn't have to be registered. It needs lockers, and it needs some lift for sure. I've never been interested in side by sides, they are toys in my eyes. They seem very capable, but i wouldn't trust my life to one in an emergency or SHTF scenario (while they still could be useful), i would trust the roxor because it is built like a jeep and made by a company that has made licensed flat fenders since the 40's. I've seen a couple reviews trying prove that isn't a side by side, but no shit, its not a side by side. And that's not what its supposed to be. Its supposed to be a cheaper, stripped down, ultra-reliable jeep that does things that the original flat fender jeeps were designed to do. Thats why i want one, and i don't want to have to rely on a dealer to do modifications or special maintenance on it. And honestly, you could probably shoehorn a chevy 350 in there if the diesel ever died and there was no more factory support for it.

That may sound expensive, but go.pare that to a new jeep.that runs over $30,000 stock, you have a machine just as capable. Most people will spend more on a Jeep to fix up, or buy a razor just to trailer it to.play off road an you can't tow anything with it. I think you made a good choice, if I didn't have my YJ, I wouldn't mind having one fixed up like yours but with an automatic. That is one nice looking Roxor.

29k isn’t bad at all for a new Jeep built out. Considering a new base Wrangler is nearly 29k and then you build it and your closer to 40 grand. I see 55-60 thousand new Jeep builds all the time. I considered a Roxor but wanted something street legal so bought a used TJ and built that out instead, but a new diesel Jeep for under 20k has great appeal

It has no issues handling the only serious offroad trail in my state(Bald Mountain Jeep Trail). The good thing is they are strong haulers for farm work and can be legally street driven if put insurance and plates on them... That's what they are in India but here they can't compete in the car market so some genius decided to market them as side by sides in the U.S...

Driving at full tilt and hitting those I believe I can fly jumps... You was to try and do that with a "Roxy" when you land you gonna Crack your bum hole or end up in the moon while your atv still on planet earth, Lol... You know with those joints you can do just about anything off road... Don't get me wrong I'm felling the Roxy you've been doing you with it... I'm not putting your Roxy down in any shape or form... I think putting some drop axles on it and doing some rock climbing like they do with the wranglers would be of the hook of a time with the Roxy's... Since she a torque monster not a speedster or a jumper she would just kill rock crawling especially since she can creep on low gear... She would destroy a Polaris or Honda rock crawling and she got crazy hauling power... I would be over landing like crazy, I would make my own tear drop mini trailer and would ripping all the trails with the wife... Sleeping in the trailer and making videos for the channel watching the viewer ship grow on me making the truck better as you test it on the trails... I'm gonna go buy one also the duty version with everything you have but with automatic transmission and no light bar I refuse to pay a 1g for it... The military green with all emblems it comes out to $24,000 in change plus I got to add the heater and a "THX2" Life force light bar on top and a rack...
