Happy to see that it all worked out👍 Remember to put grommets of some kind in the holes the cables run through... I have a set of 4.88's for my Jeep XJ (also stock 3.73 and will be running 35s) so I can't wait to see what you think of the new gears- I kinda want 4.56's for highway because I don't plan on trailering it, and all good trails/ parks are 1.5 hours or more from where I live.

@@RedWhiteRoxorForgot to mention make sure you let them gears break-in, and change the diff fluid before any bashing! I'm very interested in how much top speed you trade for the slow crawl speed and TQ. I would definitely go with the 4.88's that I already have (in a box) if my Jeep was a 5 speed manual like yours. I guess I just need to find someone with the same Jeep/ drivetrain and tire size then tag along for a ride... Again, nice job, looks great! You definitely inspired me to give the gears a try myself.

We do get composite material leaf springs that are much much lighter than the stock steel ones. They are strong enough but the biggest advantage is the improvement in ride quality. We get them for the similar Mahindra MM540 that is now being sold as the Mahindra Thar in India.

Used Ox lockers on one of my TJ’s. Bulletproof, but watch the cable routing. Play with that until your sure it’s not rubbing or has the potential to get snagged, pinched or even melted by the exhaust. 4.88 with 35’s or even 5.13 is about right. What is the ratio on the T-case, 2.72?

The lockers are an improvement. You will still find a way to get stuck and will make it harder to get unstuck. It will enable you to get into deeper trouble. Try hill climbing and rock crawling. It is cleaner but more damageing.

I am at a loss when it comes to this thing. Why not just buy a real jeep? Or a regular sxs? It's not street legal in my area and with an end user cost of over 15k? This is hardly a good purchase. I will put my tj up against it any day of the week and it cost me half the price.
@blakeberlin62955 жыл бұрын
You don't understand why someone wants a new vehicle with a diesel engine vs a used high mileage vehicle with a motor that isn't his first choice? SxS's won't do work like the Roxor. Finally, you would put your jeep "against the Roxor..." What does that mean?
@jasoncolette85985 жыл бұрын
@@blakeberlin6295, if that means something to you. It doesnt mean a thing to me. Most of the new crap I buy I am forced to buy aftermarket items to get it the way I want. So, a used jeep for 3k and then another 6k for gears, bearings, seals, lockers, lift, tires, yeah. I have all new stuff and still under the price of that roxor. A diesel? Big deal. Like I said, that only means something to you. I cant stand the smell of diesel. They are nasty dirty engines. "Oh but the torque!" Again, big deal when you're dealing with an engine that small.
