these indan ivehicles are getting so much better .we had a tata pick-up in the early 2000s that was like a cross between a early 90s hi-lux and one of the peugot pick-ups fromthe 70s and 80s . it was almost industructable because it was so simple ,but te hdriving experiance wasn't that bad . it compared better off road than on but it was purely a work truck and you knew what you were getting when you bought it . the only problem was the lack of dealer network for the very few times you couldn't do the work yourself .

In their current lineup the cheapest car, Tiago scored 4 stars in NCAP and the rest of the lineup scored 5 stars. The body is stronger than their similar priced counterparts. Being the owners of JLR, their larger cars are based on a re-engineered Land Rover D8 platform.

That Roxor sounds amazing and is a super cool, unique rig. It needs a wider stance, however. It looks top heavy, like the old CJs. Definitely had a couple butt-puckering moments on this video that wouldn't have been nearly as scary with wider axles.

It's a real jeep from 40s manufactured in India ( granted by DOD then), assembled in USA in kit form. Plenty of outfits in our country to super-guetto/ 4WD it to ones wishes. It's the perfect original blueprint even left in stock form.

I'm a fan of the roxors, certainly would take one over a jk. I don't think it needs quite that much lift. It looks too tall. I have a TJ and a Samurai. I have a fondness for small and simple rigs, the roxor would fit right in.

I discovered Roxor about 7 or 8 years ago. They were literally WW II Jeeps. Nine bar grill and all. They were trying to market them in the US and FCA threatened to sue if they tried that's when they came up with the funky hood and grill. I still would love to have one but may have to settle for a mini Jeep from Tractor supply. edited for clarity

They aren’t knock offs. Mahindra has been manufacturing Jeeps under license from Willys since 1947 in India. But FCA took away the license in 2005 or so. Saying that, Mahindra is the Indian Jeep and the DNA is basically Jeep from “another mother”…same as Mitsubishi made jeeps under license in Japan and various other countries. And there is another company M D Juan in the Philippines which still makes Jeeps. All these are quite legal.

Those Roxors are pretty cool stock and with the rear seat and extended rollbar and cab 4 people can ride they're hands down the best side by side I've come across for farming/ranching use and can even run to town for parts

@@coltbuildsityour 35’s are what has you so bogged down with a stock tune. I’d recommend sticking with Diesel Freaks for the tune. Other companies have had issues in the beginning, but DF tune is AMAZING! Plus DF can adjust for tire size to keep the speedo accurate! Wade has made progress breaking the encryption and feels he is close. My tuned 2022 is registered for road use and keeps up with traffic just fine!

Colt that style of lock is easy I have broken 2 off wit one good hit with a 2 lb hammer. As I expected the Roxor with LOCKERS, Ground clearance, and tires was an easy win, but on road use is a major plus to me. Do not want somthing I need to haul around to play. I personally prefer the Jeep with at least one locker and some good tires.

Slide a piece of pipe over the key barrel on the receiver lock ,the tighter fit the better and a quick pull on the pipe and it will shear off so easy it will frighten you .

The Mahindra is what jeeps should be. Small, nimble, capable, and simple. If you are comparing a $60,000 dollar brand new to a mahindra for $20,000 then it's the mahindra for the win. But compared to a cheap used jeep its n contest, the jeep is the best

In Wyoming you can get license plates and drive a Roxor. You do need to make a few modifications, turn signals are not needed, but nice to have. Wyoming will let you title and license almost anything. We have no car inspections and if you are titling something home built or salvaged the Sheriff looks at the vin # and the engine block #. You need headlight and tail lights, blinkers are optional. I have salvaged/home built a couple of cars. That was in the 70's and 80's but those laws are still in place.

The Roxor is sold on purpose as a off the road (to be run on your farms) vehicle to circumvent challenges from jeep. Correct me if I am wrong here.

They couldn’t meet the emissions requirements and safety requirements the US has in place to make it street legal. So they have it designated for off-road use only. Some states like Utah, you can make it street legal but limited. With that in mind, it would still be great for a run around town rig and go play on the trails

My brother has a turbo built samurai and I have a built Roxor. They’re pretty similar. His has a lot more wheel travel and mine does better on tracks because of the torque. The Roxor does have a lot more interior room in the 4 seat configuration and the engine in my opinion is far better than the 1.3 or 1.6

Find a piece of 1' pipe or something that is long that will slip over that receiver lock on the key side and just snap it off. The side that locks on that rod is very thin. A few years back, I bought a 24' car hauler, and I couldn't get one of those locks off to put my receiver hitch on. The technician at the trailer dealership told me to let me show you what we do to get those locking pins off. He brought out a winch bar for 18 wheeler trailers and flipped it around, and snapped that pin in seconds. He told me to buy a grade 8 bolt and tighten the hell out of it, and nobody will steal whatever is in your receiver.

Many years ago I had the Mahindra jeep based on the civilian CJ2A with the 1900cc Peogeot normal aspirated deisel, but I broke the chassis and after many broken drive shafts and axles, I removed the body shrunk it to a short wheelbase so I could put it on a Diahatsu chassis also with a 1900cc deisel but a turbo one by Diahatsu the Diahatsu body had rotted out really bad so bad you opened a door it would fall on your toes.A great improvement which I used for many years offroading and towing my double horse trailer with a couple of Irish draft/cob fifteen plus hands horses. I noticed that they have changed the grille to get away from any Jeep legal actions, but it still looks like a Jeep but with the Wagoneer front I think not up on the Jeep models being in the UK we have the better offroader the Landrover.

Modern Mahindras do really take care of rusting problem. It was a problem till 2012, you can see a Mahindra Scorpio with 500k km ones but are quite rusted. Although they can do 300k km more...

Break the hitch pin. Find a pipe that fits over the lock and give it a good 90 degree bend. I’ve seen this done and the pin just snaps where they neck down.
