Cammy, you would have to be one of the nicest blokes. You're honesty and educational values are brilliant. I really hope that others head down the same path as there is a lot of sheep in this world. It's just a shame that wool these days is hardly worth anything.

Do you want to give Cammy a hand? Do you have 10 seconds or 21 seconds to spare? It's easy and free. For a 15 second ad, don't hit the skip button. for a longer ad, Watch it for 31 seconds before you hit the skip button. The income that Cammy makes on KZbin is dependent on how many people watch the ad. Typically, that's only five people out of 100. I know ads are annoying,But the value that Cammy gives us in learning and entertaining Is surely worth 15 or 21 seconds of our time.

Even better, use that 30 seconds or whatever to look away from the screen and rest your eyes. No one said we actually have to WATCH the ads lol. If they annoy you so much, just look around the room, at another person or a pet, or just close your eyes. Your eyesight will thank you for the break

Whilst you total up the earnings you have made on the day, do you think it would be a good idea to mention, out of that total turnover, your costs are to be deducted! That is good money. Your fee per sheep translates to $2.88 Canadian. Here in Ontario it is hard to get anyone who charges less than $5 and often more. The difference is that there are not many flocks where they are shearing more than 150 to maybe 200 at a time because we mostly run accelerated lambing, so smaller groups more often. We do have some large pasture lambing flocks over 700 head and up to 2000+, but they are not as common. We are in real need of good shearers who are reliable. Thanks for sharing, and for the glimpses of your lovely family.

I knew Lizzie was a little close on the dates but no one said she was 6 months past due! I haven't seen a baby as big as Bonnie in a long while, she seems quite long too but maybe some of that is the camera. She looks absolutely fantastic! Little girl has no idea how many were waiting for her arrival other than her family. I think she looks more like Angus than Jock at this point. In me and my 5 siblings 1 girl and 1 boy look alike (dad) and the other 4 of us, 3 girls and 1 boy look alike (mom). Never thought of it until now but the 2 that look alike are both the only left handers in the family as well, that's somewhat nifty. Took me only 58 years to figure out that little useless tidbit of information, lol. I bet Lizzie is feeling MUCH lighter and relieved, the last bit is the longest! Speaking of little Angus, any news on his poor little nose? He's off and running too, no holding him back now either...2 little country boys on the run now! I've been catching up on my videos, was only a couple behind but Spot seems so much more confident, really nice to see him melding into his job and the family. Laughed so hard when Jock rounded up that stuck lamb, gets back in the 4 wheeler and ready to drive off. Does he know he hasn't graduated high school yet as he seems to be running the operation quite fine, lol.

Wonderful video of sheering One question Can sheep wool ever be used to insulate homes?
@keithpadbury98185 ай бұрын
Yes. google sheep wool insulation. wool is used in Australia to a small degree. Not sure about other countries. Some manufacturers offer options such as 100% sheep wool insulation, while others provide a blend of wool (75%) and recycled polyester, known as wool-rich insulation. Sheep wool insulation does not achieve the same high R-values as traditional glasswool products, such as Earthwool. This would explain why sheep wool hasn’t become a staple product in the world of insulation.

That was really interesting! I often wondered if it would pay enough. Does anyone know if shearing is only done at certain times in a year or is it all year round? Lovely to see Lizzie & your family❤
