I find these sorts of things therapeutic. They’re helpful to relax in bed :) You do your videos however you want. It’s your channel. I’m looking forward to starting my own, and have endless footage, but I want to get so far in the process before putting vids out. But things are slow when you work full time nights and rely on having energy after work to crack on, and the weather when doing external work! Btw, 38 now and noticed a change in energy, even though I’ve never drank or smoked. But sadly I did lose most of my hair by 24, so don’t have to worry about that any more 😅

You are far more skilled than I am so it's great to see you try all these jobs. Im going to be undertaking my own build similar to yours and your videos give a great insight into the huge task it is. I think responding to the negative commentators with the opportunity to promote their skills was a great idea. Shame they don't take you up on it. Perhaps you could ask local tradesmen, to help you on your build and in turn they can promote their local business. They don't have to do it for you, but help educate you through the right steps, and avoiding costly mistakes. Just a thought. Keep up the good work.

I honestly think you could have the place done - or close - in 18 months if you really start cracking on with the main build and prioritise it. Get yourself a whiteboard, get the jobs listed in an order and start crossing them off! I bet you felt so much better after all that tidying, there’s something very satisfying about just having a massive tidy/clear-out. I wouldn’t worry about the insulation / mouse situation, I had a load of sips panels sat out for a year or so, I think I had one or two panels with a little nibble off an edge, that was it. I’m on the driveways and patio landscaping Facebook group, and it’s full of grumpy old experts with nothing better to do than critique and mock other peoples work. With regards to the acer, it looks like it’s dried out for a spell, hence the die back. I would mulch the soil with compost and feed liquid seaweed to help the roots along but go easy on the feed for the rest of the year. Find a more shady sheltered spot for it too. It will come back fine and you will be able to take cuttings or air layerings to make loads of them.

Ours is in a sheltered spot now and as a result seems to be doing better (at the moment anyway). Also wondering if the pot is a little on the small side given the size of your acer. @dmbrookfield7 ай бұрын
@@evieeighteen18 Yes of course, but if they are dead it can't waste it's energy, the thing is no point cutting them off yet as he has no idea how much will die off, better off just waiting to the end of Autumn and then trimming everything during the winter. It looks like a nice sized acer, so looking at that pot it might be under sized, but now isn''t the time to be repotting it, I would be very careful about feed. Just put it in a shaddy place out of any harsh wind and sun and wait to see, watering is the key make sure it is moist acers aren't great with over watering and then going dry. Some creators even say it openly that's their cats paying the bills :P Maybe don't show them at the very end, you could do what Rag'n'Bone Keith does, short clips across the video. In regards to what work and what doesn't work on youtube. There are millions of people that watch other people cut grass (like lawn makeovers) and even millions that watch....... cows getting pedicure. I kid you not. I guess it's because it's a little gross but satisfying to see cows walking away happy. Internet is weird. You just need to find your audience! I like your videos: they are very relaxing. I enjoy the random DIY guide as much as the relaxing in the sun bits. Only suggestion I have as a viewer is that I really struggle sometimes to watch 20' long videos. Not because I find them uninteresting but because I've got limited time with all the TV series and youtube channels out there. For views, retention and income it is far better to have shorter videos 2-6 mins, time is precious for all of us. Don't deviate from the main topic too much, cut out all of the fluff unless it is something truly worth knowing or funny. If you speak a second language create a second channel with the same content in your second language. I get three times more views on my Spanish channel compared to the English one. Good luck!

Totally agree but I'm thinking that long term a relationship based channel may be better than a transactional one. I'll throw in shorter videos every now and then but alot of my regular audience tends to like longer chatty stuff
