I like you couldn't afford to save my natural teeth. Dental should be covered under our health insurance. We need teeth to be healthy. Implants require surgery for placement. They have risk of infection and failure. They require dental visits every six months. Parts on the implants can break. Dentists charge for replacing broken implants. They are never going to be affordable for everyone. 95% of us will have traditional dentures. Including me.

Here we go again,"It all depends" on this or that. Forget the variables, stick to the question. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR A SNAP ON DENTURE; just assume for one moment that the patient has no teeth and needs no bone graft; How much would the snap on denture cost? We understand if there is additional work required there will be an extra cost involved or does the cost vary depending on how gullible the patient might be and you need them to come to you so you can assess that and price accordingly. Why can't you give a straight answer to a straight question?

Quick Google search would answer this question for you. Full set top and bottom snap on denture no bone grafting between. $16,000-$30,000. It would depend on what area you live in the country.

So I had 13 extractions, bone grafting and a temporary denture. I went with the snap on dentures all uppers. Also had five implants. After insurance it cost 16,000. That’s a New York State. Went with the dentist that was an oral surgeon orthodontist with lots of experience.

No Medicaid doesn't cover implants. Regular dental insurance doesn't cover implants.

I have a hybrid zirconia bridge replacing my 6 front teeth. My husband ( now my ex).did root canals on my virgin although crooked front teeth. One was done so poorly that it leaked and destroyed the bone around and above it. I went to the dental college ( university of Buffalo) and had 2 procedures to replace the bone loss and tissue replacement. To get the best aesthetic effect had the front 6 removed. My student in Oral surgery was supervised by a top Oral surgeon in the area. My front teeth are beautiful, I can bite into a hard apple because they are perfectly balanced. It cost about 16k and because of covid took about 4 years. Worth the time and effort. So I know that it can be done correctly and some dentist shouldn't do anything but fill and drill. The staff at the dental school told me that my implants are better than than what are used by most implant dentists because they are so expensive.

Im actually going to one a denist very close to you they charge 8k fixed price per arch for snap ins. I wish I could afford the permanent, but with 2 kids one we are putting through flight school and the other since got our son a car we have to get our 17 yr daughter one now. Even spending the 16k for myself is going to be extremely hard, but I just can't do regular dentures have a horrible gag refelx. So hopefully Ill be happy enough with the snap ins and maybe one day once the kids are on their own I can upgrade. Im also putting off spine surgery to fix my teeth. It's just a lot to deal with.

I got quoted 24 thousand last month for 24 extractions, bonegraphs, 4 implants on top , 4 at bottom for snap ons, sedation pills, pain meds, no insurance…..would u be cheaper? I’m in Texas lol

Our all on 4 starts at 16k some places you can pay 30k. 16k starting is an easy 30k after they charge you for every little thing. I'm in NC and I swear I'm just going to have to go to Mexico. I have about 30k and need top and bottom and ragged ones removed so. It's never going to happen here.

You mention all on 4 is around 16,000 dollars, is that the cost to the patient after insurance or before any insurance? I have unlimited dental insurance so hopefully my insurance would cover about half the full cost.

I have top and bottom snap in dentures 4 on top 4 on bottom had extractions plus bone grafting done. Total cost including fitting for new snap in dentures was $16,000. Mind you however I had it done at a dental school. I suggest looking into a dental school if possiible. Though I still couldn't afford the 35,000 for top and bottom all-on-fours placed. My dentist wanted 55,000 for top and bottom all-on-four.

yes you're right. you can get cases done at a dental school. it tends to be a lot more drawn out of a process time wise and the surgeons arent as experienced but you can definitely save some money. in regards to your dentist wanting $55k, that's ridiculous.

I made my very first appointment at Rutgers November of 2020, my consultation was Feb 2021. I didn't get in again until that July. It was several visits for fitting for temporary dentures then had my extractions and 8 implants placed on Sept 8th 2021. I healed for about 5 months and returned last February to begin impressions for the final snap in teeth. April 29th I will have my final appointment (if everything fits well enough). I suspect if this was at a private practice I wouldn't have had so many fitting appointments, each lasting about 2-3 hours.

I had top and bottom done for 16 k aswell for everything, bone graphing, tori removal, 11 extracted teeth, 4 pine top and 4 pins bottom, temporary dentures and permanent ones made 5 months after healing. Without insurance would have been just short of 60 k.

So you mentioned $16,000 for all on four for one bridge so essentially for the top... and I have been charged $13,000 for a snap on denture for the top. I am healing after extractions and don't yet have the implants, am wondering if I should try to get a refund and bring my business to you. For just $3k more I would most definitely prefer to have a permanent set of teeth on top. If in the future I want to upgrade from the snap on to all on four on the top, how much would you charge?

good question. but there are regular complete dentures where you can get upgraded denture teeth on them that look beautiful. i would recommend you head in that direction. do not use nano ceramic for a regular denture because it would be obscenely expensive.

Hes rite on the money, thts about rite... u haft to understand tho, anything is possible in the dental lab worlds these days.. so its hard just to put a $$$ on things, cause some implants or peices of implants can cost 4500-15000, all depends on wht peices you want to use.. and snap ons are called: (implant secured dentures) tht is there technical medical wiki name.... so u cant really just say how much is this, or how much is tht... it all depends on wht peices you use, & how u & ur doc put it all together.. for example: whn u hear 50k for all on 4: tht means ur gettin all top of the line everything= zirconium mouth peices, porcelain or ceramic teeth on em.. only thing is docs dont tell you all this whn they have there little interns quote all these insane prices to you... (which I nvr talk any financial wth, I only discuss any financial wth the boss, the owner of building & practice which just happens 2B my doc)... so u see u can mix N match all kinds of implants & pieces these days, so it's up to you to learn ur on case & try to come up wth A dental plan ur self... Boy' theres some dental horry storys out there.. If i could suggest anything' be:: .. 1. Find someone U relate too,,,were all diff,,,all diff colors, all diff nationalitys,,,so u mite feel more comfortable using a diff dentist than the next person uses....I visited 2 dentist tht i knew i would nvr see again, i did not relate 2them at all' even tho they were both white males like me.. Most dentist u can even look up on Internet 2see who they are 1st,,,,but u still dont knw there personality til u go meet em 1st.. & 2nd=its up 2U to study ur own problems & ur own cases these days... if uneed implants study implants,,,if u need root canal study root canals,,,its up to you 2go in there wth all the knowledge u can.. Like me i started studyin dental implants in 2017, now theres not much idk about them.. Dont just leave it up to ur dentist 2do all work' study ur on case & try 2come up wth ur own plans, its ur body... No excuses 4not studyin this day & age
