How much money do I need for the Camino de Santiago?

Walking on the Camino de Santiago can be one of the most budget friendly adventures there is. You can do it on a small budget like I did, with albergues, Pilgrim menus and Decathlon Hiking Gear or spend more with Hotels, organised tours and premium gear.

When I hiked el Camino Frances in 2015 I was spending about 20-30€ a day, it was fantastic. Also it looks like the pilgrim office in Santiago has changed there.

Yes I think you could still do that with 30€ a day! Yeah might have changed, it looks pretty new.

Yes! It's cheaper than my rent too 😅 That's much more affordable than what I was expecting but Iike you said it depends on your preferences and level of comfort. Did you get good quality sleep in the shared rooms, did you not get disturbed by others?

Living on the Camino is the ultimate goal here! :) Absolutely, you can do the Camino on a budget or more comfortable. I love the low budget experience. The first nights in the shared rooms were difficult, but you get used to it! Earplugs become your best friend.
