So Stan I guess you found your favorite equipment dealer, that gives you used equipment. That has low hours and is Brand New. 😊 I was floored by all that equipment there, I am just in awe about the whole thing. 😲 Can't wait to see the video on the upgraded piece of equipment that has been in the works for 3 years with Artic.

Same concept the rental car companies use (with manufacturers) but they are now running longer miles on cars before sale. The behind the scenes deal with Volvo and Case is what allows this to happen and good for all! As he mentioned - they delt with another manufacturer for 10 years and I am sure that others are wanting in.

Comments full of equipment experts 😂 y’all can barely pay attention and have little to no knowledge about finance 😂 These guys didn’t invent the wheel, Every manufacturer has some sort of short term lease/rental program aimed at reducing the cost of slightly used equipment offered with full warranty.. My local JD ag dealership does this with tractors & combines .. The money is in the financing not the equipment itself. Arctic has set themselves up with a situation where they know exactly what their hourly cost to operate that equipment will be and sets it’s contracts up with the knowledge that cost is fixed for the season , they also operate in different regions so they minimize their risk of down time from lack of snow. I’d bet they also have a minimum service charge just for providing the equipment whether it’s used during the season or not..

Under 2000hrs will generally get you a solid machine. Ive seen side by side same model equipment tho where a 2000hr looks worse then a 5000hr. Depends on environment and abuse. Quality machines (like Kubota) will go 5000hrs without major issue and 10,000hrs before it starts getting more expensive to repair then replace.

But I'm Very Impressed with him Saying that EVERYONE GETS TREATED THE SAME if you are Buying 1 Thing or a 100. I wish more companies where like this because it would make life easier for Everyone. I Hate when you are Trying to Call a Company and it's Press 1 Or Press 2 and after 30 Minutes on Hold you still Don't get to TALK to Anyone and then the Call drops and you have to start again..DRIVES ME CRAZY. Companies have lost my Business because I can't get to TALK to Anyone so I've gone other places even if the other places are not a Cheap I'm not going to Spend Hours on the Phone to save a few EUROS €$€$€£$$

step 1: be friends with case and volvo step 2: place an enormous bulk order so you're paying wayyyy less per unit step 3: use equipment for 1-2 seasons step 4: maintenance and shine them up step 5: sell as used and get most of your money back (because of the bulk pricing) only really paying for a year or so of use, and passing the cost of the equipment to the buyer step 6: $$$$$$$$

Their business model is really difficult to compete with if your into big box store for plowing. They buy the equipment, probably at very strap discounts. Then sell the equipment with limited use sage probably very close to what they paid since they get a discount. The equipment ends up costing very little to own for that single season. Since it costs very little to own, they have little equipment cost that they have to factor into their snow budgets. Hence while most of us buy a truck or loader and need to work it 6-10 hours per storm to pay for it. They can stock nearly double the equipment on every site since there is no equipment costs. They do the jobs much faster than everyone else. They are one of the few companies that can actually keep up in a true blizzard. Respect -

“We buy the machines to use them and then offer them for sale after one year of use.” I’m sorry but I don’t understand the entrepreneurial idea behind this. His statement makes it seem like Artic buys the equipment new and uses it for snow removal, subsequently making revenue on snow removal, then sells the unit after a year of use. Am I missing something here? I live in TN which has no snow. Does Artic contract snow removal? I thought they just made equipment for the trade.

Huge part of business plan is buying 1,000 321 loaders for example. They might pay 75% of what a normal 1 piecw of equipment purchase at a dealer pays. 25% savings on 1,000 machines is millions. Run the machine for 1 season and 100hrs. They sell the machine at used machinery low end market value and still make a killing on resale. Example only: New 321 is 175K but bull purchase discounts is 132K. They resell after 1 or 2 snow seasons with a hundred or two hundred hours for low end current used market value, say 155K. They make 23K per unit minus cost.. maybe after all said and done, 18-20 clear profit per machine. 1,000 case 321, 1,000 case skid steers 1,000 case compact track loaders 1,000 Volvo loaders Your talking 90 million in profit just on reselling all that equipment.
