In 1973 I bought a 1949 GMC pickup for $150. I had borrowed it before and knew exactly what I was getting. The first time I hauled $150 of building materials home on it I thought that was something. By the time I sold it 3 years later I had hauled $450 of building materials home in one load. Of course a lot of that was due to inflation during those 3 years. I sold some firewood and slate off it too, but not many dollars worth at $25 for a thrown on load with sideboards.

@InTheWoodyardАй бұрын
I usually do. Thanks.
@alfredutri4071Ай бұрын
When comparing and contrasting the delivery of a face cord with the truck verses the trailer, I think your time and effort is about equal. With the trailer you have to hitch up and un hitch which takes time and effort. Backing up to the unloading site is not as convenient, and you must be sure your trailer battery is charged. The hand loading is about the same, although with the trailer you don't have to watch out for the window. The only aspect of the truck delivery that has extra effort is the manual unloading. With all factors considered a face cord deliverd with the truck is just as efficient as with the trailer in my opinion.

You have very valid points but the trailer does empty itself...saving my body a little bit!

No show ponies in my fleet. My 2001 Toyota Tacoma is still running strong with 340,000 miles on it. One thing I do with my work trucks is have the rocker panels sprayed with Line-X. We drive a lot of dirt and gravel roads that pit the metal, then we get rust. It might cover your scratches.
