Such a well done video, disclosing all the info needed to scape some reality into the KZbin business. There is one thing which maybe you could do a follow-up video on, and that is how to handle taxes when dealing with KZbin AdRevenue and all these different types of income. Most people will see a big number and be like OMG I want to be a KZbinr but forget about all the intrensic systems involved when basicly being self-employed or having multiple sources of income. Could be a cool one since it relates to personalfinance a lot. Keep up the good work.

I just had a quick read through many of the comments. I see a lot of people saying "Wow, I wish that was me" or something to that effect. I'm not sure about you guys, but I was listening when Graham explained that he worked 50 hours a week on his KZbin channel ON TOP OF a full time job as a real estate agent and he made LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE for those 50 hours of KZbin work per week. THAT is why this man is doing so well. He worked his ass off and he went out and got what he wanted. Yeah, he's switched on and knows how things work, but knowing it doesn't mean a thing if you aren't prepared to do the work, and as with all businesses, that first year is the hardest work for the least reward. You get out what you put in. My $0.02

Not really, he was already rich enough to be able to essentially sink in a year of work with hardly any income. You don’t go to the real estate factory and manufacture real estate widgets, shits on commission and you set your own hours....Not trying to say he doesn’t work hard, but a big portion of this is luck. If it wasn’t this dude it would be another generic short plain white guy who could ramble for 10 minutes.

@Sabine de Vos True. However, CNBC would not copyright claim the 'fair use' content unlike most KZbinrs who are simply salty. The problem with CopyRight strikes is that it is almost impossible to appeal it and it usually goes into favour of that who made a claim.

Thanks Graham! I am always interested in how much other KZbinrs make. It makes me cry most of the time, lol. I am in the cooking niche, and my channel has just over 125K subs. I usually average between $2.50 to $3.50 per 1000 views for Adsense. It is definitely one of the lowest paying niches. My very small other channel is a variety channel and it makes $4.50 to $6.50 per 1000 views. haha. Of course, the last quarter of the year is always super nice! lol. I also only run one ad in the beginning, and don't always run 1 ad in the middle if the video is over 10 minutes. My most popular video is 15 minutes long and do have one in the middle, although I could probably add a few more but feel like it would be too many. At any rate, congrats on your success man!!!
