another option is, sell that, buy NVIDIA! Great fundamentals, great company, and under-valued!

Thanks for doing this one! Looks like this one is just getting raided for the stock based comp. Can't believe Buffett once owned this company!

@@parkevtatevosiancfa9544 IMHO, SMCI is avoid. They were late on 10F. Apparently there have been issues on internal practices. And now E&Y, their accounting firm, has decided to move away. Could be okay to buy the dip, but in general seems like a company rife with ethical and accounting issues. Keen on Parkev's take.

Prof. I'll reiterate my question on long term growth rate. Why 5% ? Will the company grow faster than the economy? What thought goes into this assumption?
@parkevtatevosiancfa954426 күн бұрын
The growth rate of nominal GDP I am estimating at 5%. This excludes the impact of inflation. That means I estimate the company will grow at the rate of GDP.
@Maxwells_demon_003126 күн бұрын
@parkevtatevosiancfa9544 aha, this comment helps a lot. Makes sense since your forecasted cash flows are also not inflation adjusted. Thanks prof. Although this does mean that the valuations I simulated (thanks to your videos) would be higher. I have been using 2.5% as default.

4:23 Can you please explain the point, that SNOWFLAKE does NOT have any Debt. The company is yet to see any dollar of profit. Where are the operating expenses coming from then? From private equity?
@parkevtatevosiancfa95446 күн бұрын
Expenses to pay people, rent for headquarters, utilities, etc.
@syedarmaghanhassan46526 күн бұрын
@parkevtatevosiancfa9544 thanks Parkev! I meant where is the money coming from to pay for such operating expenses? How are they raising or getting the money? How are they financing their business operstions if they don't have any profit, and they don't take a loan?

interesting to hear your view. the long term growth rate is something that doesnt quite make sense to me. You're forecasting it like a massive conglomerate, but it's a high velocity software stock with currently only >5% of their TAM. I expect them to reaccelerate growth, just like multiple high growth saas businesses have done since the 2023 recession. Over the next ten years, a growth rate over 15% is easily achievable, given that they currently are growing at 28% and are likely re-accelerating for the next couple years.
