tips from me as father of two boys allow your kids attend those kasi creche until the age of 4 then from 5 years introduce him/her to those middle class creche and take them to those public school you attended then later on when you see you have saved enough then move them to those private school, then your children would have bit history of Kasi nd Urban growing up. So that should anything happen to you guys cant afford the private you can always take him to kasi. That how my boys are growing a bit of everything sharpe their minds.

Lol We just had our first born two weeks ago (It's a daughter). I'm so glad we planned and took our time for having a baby. Having an unplanned baby is really crazy business. The cost of giving birth at the Hospital alone at a private hospital is plus minus is R21 000, It was a natural birth, but they were expecting the mother of my child to actually give a C-Section cause of the claims can amount to R40 000 which is crazy but we chose not to go that route, but I understand that some women can't handle the natural childbirth as it may be a health risk depending on the state of your health. The Doctors didn't even really do anything but consult and give advice. My props really goes out to all the nurses that took care of us they really deserve bonuses!

Hi Zimasa, thank you always for great, engaging content. The costs start even before the baby is born, seeing that even baby showers resemble mini white weddings!!!!!!!!! In addition, at private schools, there' the extracurricular activities. School tours are international to the US, UK, Australia just to mention a few. From Grade 3, a child must have a tablet, in private schools they will tell you it must be an iPad. Then, there is the never ending social activities around the bundle's birthday, events that have become drinking festivals for parents. Kuningi and it's getting kuningiest.

@mohapikobuoa7014Ай бұрын
Your video is quite informative, and it’s clear you’ve done your research on the costs of raising a child in South Africa. However, I believe it’s important to approach this topic with more nuance. While the estimated cost of over R3 million by age 18 might be accurate for some families, as you claim, not everyone’s lifestyle is the same. Many of us grew up in households that likely spent far less annually, yet we still received a decent upbringing and turned out just fine. Referring to children as "little unemployed terrors" feels dismissive and counterproductive. It’s crucial to remember that, despite the financial costs involved, children bring immense joy and fulfilment to many families. Labelling the decision to have children as something to avoid purely due to costs could be seen as fearmongering and oversimplifies a complex, personal choice. This perspective overlooks the emotional rewards, societal contributions, and personal growth that come with raising a child. Focusing solely on financial concerns can create unnecessary fear, contribute to declining birth rates, and deepen inequalities, as less affluent families may feel pressured to avoid parenthood. Such narratives risk undermining the value of family, community, and the future societal structure as a whole.
@ndumiiiisoАй бұрын
this is all fearmongering, While it is true that raising a child does involve some unavoidable costs, the idea that babies are overwhelmingly expensive is largely based on choices made by parents. Many of the expenses often cited as essential are, in fact, optional.

That's relative. Could be the worst time now if you're unemployed. Even if the costs are lower than they will be in the future, it doesn't make a difference since you have nothing to give. Whereas the future might be a better time if you're employed, even if the price is high. It'll be worse in the future if the price is high and you're unemployed
