Hello Kenji, I stopped to say hello and thank you again, for some Outline information, I picked from one of your videos a few weeks ago. Also, this video of your school fees spoke an interest to me, because just this morning I received some annoying news regarding my financial aid. To be clear, it’s pressing, but my situation is far from the information you just imparted. After what seems like a century (not a traditional student), I’m actually a great-grandmother, who returned to University, part-time. And as daunting as the situation can be sometimes, I am proud of myself, and so grateful to be nearing a graduation date. Nonetheless, since Covid-19 struck, and we had to go online totally, my financial aid got mixed up, and is now causing grief. Even so, I will work through it, and hopefully finish by the end of the year. And, I also want to wish you the very best in your educational endeavor’s. You seem such a bright, and centered young man, and will make a great doctor. I know your family is so proud of you. As I lift prayer each day, you will be there, also. Take care of yourself. Many blessings. Phyllis

Hey kenji , thanks for your video. I have a question 🙂. I will start my med school this year and I’m looking for some resources to read from to prepare my self a little bit before starting med school.e.g, for something like anatomy which is difficult. Could you please suggest me some useful sources? Also can ask , whether or not you use specific videos , apps ,.. to learn anatomy?
@DoctorKenji4 жыл бұрын
Hey! I personally wouldn't recommend reading ahead...there is just so much content and it is difficult to know how much you should know and how much you shouldn't. In regards to anatomy, I use teachmeanatomy which is a website and for medicine in general I use the Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine

I’m trying to save a ton of money in high school to move from the US to go to UCL or Oxford, still probably cheaper than US tuition though lmao. I plan on getting a degree in neuroscience, then go to med school and specialize in anesthesia.

You only get the bursary from your fifth year in medical school!
@dreaming_of_that_mbbs_mbchb4 жыл бұрын
Kenji Tomita that’s not what I was told from the nhs bursary people who said as a post graduate you have to pay your first year then they pay nearly £4K a year for you. This snippet comes from the BMA themselves Years 2, 3, 4 In years 2, 3, and 4 tuition fees are partially paid (£3,465) directly to the University by the Department of Health through the NHS Bursary Scheme with students being able to cover the remaining tuition fee through a SFE tuition fee loan. GEM students are eligible to apply for a reduced (approximately 60% of the full value) maintenance loan from SFE on top of the maintenance component of the NHS Bursary. GEM students can access a non-means tested maintenance NHS grant of £1000 per year in years 2-4 of their course, with additional amounts of bursary available based on household incom

@@dreaming_of_that_mbbs_mbchb This is for students are on graduate-entry only Medicine courses (4 years and only people who have at least an undergraduate degree can apply). I think Kenji is a graduate who is studying on an undergraduate Medicine course (5 years long and non graduates can apply), therefore he has to fund his tuition fees for years 1-4, and NHS bursary will cover his tuition fees from year 5.
@dreaming_of_that_mbbs_mbchb4 жыл бұрын
Louise W ah right that’s why I was confused as I was like why do you have to pay when you can get nhs funding. I didn’t realise that if grads did an undergrad course it’s different. Thank you
