Go solar if you haven't already, makes more sense economically than having only generator backup. There're few solar companies in Ghana offering good solutions.

With it now becoming even moor popular for Black People especially in the diaspora wanting to live in Ghana. Think its highly important to know things like this. Knowing the cost of living is where ever you choose to live could mean the difference between survival and thrival...true or definitely true?

It makes a HUGE difference and it is important to share this information. We understand it can be different for each individual but we hope it gives a general idea. 😊

A lot of things are the same or more expensive , electricity , gas/petrol , imported foods, internet, I guess it balances itself out , but its not possible to be living large on $500/ month! If you dont mind answering what do you guys do for a living ?

Thanks for the info shared in this video. I am planning to come to Ghana for an intial 6-12mth period, to research business opportunities, with a view to extending should things works out. I am budgeting approx. £800 living expenses, & have no dependents. Is this a realistic figure, or is budget too low?

Thank you very much for watching! We couldn’t say for certain if it is enough for you personally. It all depends on where you live, what you like to eat, if you plan on going out a lot. There are many different factors. It is always better to have more and not worry about the finances.

Ghana is very very cheap , but you dont wanna go for that option trust me. Free secondary school , but standards below par. National health service they say but politicians still seek medical aid in the west. You can get a two bed room for less than 100-150 dollars in some parts of Accra but you wudnt survive in those areas aday. Please go expensive and enjoy all the beauty the coutry has to offer .

Maybe you don’t understand, our stomachs are not use to Ghana water/are sensitive. When you want to travel to a tropical climate you are told by the nurses when you do for travel injections/shots and malaria tablets not to drink the water from the tap because it will make us sick. We are also told to be careful what we eat (from the road side and careful of salads). Some of my family that are even born and raise in Ghana only drink bottle water.
