No one can replace Natasha but Sarah seems cool. She seems a bit shy but once she comes out of her shell she’ll fit right in
@parencreates8654 жыл бұрын
hiya mate, I complete agree with you that the super talented and awesome Natasha has no replacement :) just to make sure that there is no misunderstanding, I hope everyone understands that Sarah was never meant to be a replacement for Natasha in any ways since Sarah's main role is as a project coordinator (who joined months before Natasha's exit was even announced) while Natasha was the video editor/designer/cameraman.. the only similarity is that they are both cute and talented non-Japanese girls who sometimes featured/will feature in TC videos so yeah not much point in comparing the two :D It seems like you have watched a lot of past TC videos and are good at analyzing facial expressions and body language mate! do you have advice to appear less shy on the camera? (I just started making some japan videos myself and would love to hear if you have any tips, thanks :))

Mie is kind of a funny one. It kind of both is and isn't in Kansai depending on who you ask. It's usually considered to be part of Chubu/Tokai. But the dialect is almost indistinguishable from Kansai-ben, especially on the Nara side. (I lived right on the border between Nara and Mie)

Just ran across this video after my Nagoya-ben on the latest video! My favorite phrase of my boss was (I could be doing this in the wrong romaji) “doyouimin” which is basically “what do you mean?” I was the only American on the team and we had a lot of fun with language... so we might say “three-nine des” to mean “thank you” since of course “three nine” is “san kyu” which is close to “thank you”. Sure it’s stupid, but that’s what made it fun for us! ;)

As an American, a similar custom surprised me when I visited London and took it's subway system. I'm used to walking in hallways as if driving on a road (this is how I was taught in school), so I was confused when in a left-side-driving country a sign said to keep right in the corridor between platforms. I suppose the custom in the UK comes from how you are (supposed to) walk against the traffic if walking or running on a street that vehicles use.
@Nightwishmaster4 жыл бұрын
@@SirYodaJedi It's the same in the US, when walking on the road you would walk towards the traffic, so on the far left of the street.

After a few years and learning a whole lot more about japanese culture, I watched it again and then realized how many cultural cues I was missing to understand the jokes. Osaka, the character, talking with kansai dialect, but at the same time having a slow, absentminded personality... opposite to the stereotype. Also, the whole nandeyanen thing in manzai comedy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqWumHWQZbKJe9k
