Good comparison. I updated my Ultegra Di2 with following components: - Dura Ace Casette 86gr - Dura Ace Chain 10gr - Dura Ace Brake callipers 48gr. - Dura Ace Brake clamps (Titanium) 12gr. In summ. i saved 156gr. and spend around 580€. My bike weight reduced around 2%. Unfortunately I can’t feel any difference 😅

ideally buy most of the Ultegra groupset but get an Edco 12s monoblock cassette and a Cybrei or Elilee crankset. That will bring you to below the weight of the full DA groupset for just a little more than the price of the full Ultegra groupset. You lose a tad in shifting quality with the Edco cassette but it's massively offset by the weight and cost saving over DA.

It seems weight isn't the the point of difference, rather than speed and accuracy of shifting. And that's why Shimano made their group set not entirely wireless. Because of the speed of transferring signal. They said like they beat up any Sram gs in this. So they say) But to be honest if you aren't a professional rider you will be pretty much perfect with 105 Di2)) Or Sram if you prefer frames without an option of installing Di2 stuff

I'm really leaning more towards the matte finish... As a car enthusiast when going to car shows, seeing someone pull off a flawless matte paint job deserves way more cred because if there's a blemish, there's no sanding or polishing to save you. The front derailleur wasn't worth it to me to get a Dura Ace. So I saved myself the trouble and got Ultregra. The CN-M9100 chain is great, it lasts me >10,000km. After the first cassette I switched from Ultegra to Dura Ace. When I saw that I was riding 80% on 4 sprockets. And you can replace them relatively cheaply. Plus the big difference in weight. Unfortunately the video doesn't say anything about the crank. Grading and crank length. The Ultegra shift levers don't have an additional button on top?! I weighed the same +-0.5 grams. Only the MT900 is 3 grams lighter. Greetings from Germany.

254 grams is A LOT. But $1000 is A LOT (to me) as well. Anyway, I - amateur rider - have got myself 11s Ultegra (manual) lately and I'm more than very happy about it. Do I need Dura Ace? I recently swapped my Ultegra cassette for one of those one-piece lightweight Asian cassettes. Boom, -100 grams. Shifting is a tad worse than the Ultegra, but I don't really mind it, and I think that's enough for me. Being close to 80kg, chasing the last 150 grams feels unnecessarily expensive.

Bzw 1000€ in deinem expliziten Beispiel.
