@klein-concept I was going to save up for a litespeed G2 as it's triple triangle like the GT, but the Edge Ti came up on eBay. A totally different bike really, but it's mint condition, R8000 and carbon Deda wheels. And probably about 1/5th the price of a new G2. It's all about the looks 😂 Winner winner chicken.......🍗

Thank you, but what is your reasoning? Most people say only carbon, and all racers ride only carbon. I am having carbon and aluminium bikes wouldn’t say carbon is necessarily better than aluminium. But the last time I rode steel frame bike was about 30 years ago, and now I don’t remember and can’t compare. So, why steel frame can be better

If you want to race you are right. Carbon or aluminium might give you the best performance. I dont race so i prefer the comfort and smoother ride that you get from a steel frame. Even if it flexes a bit more.

I believe high quality steel bike is excellent choice for racing.

Thanks a lot. It was a standard Sram Force etap groupset and i added a set if wireless blips. The ones with integrated batteries. Hope that helps. 🤜🤛

@@klein-concept Not official, but a thread on weightweenies determined the wheels were Farsports hyper road FSD50CM-30T-HLH for the rear and gravel FS45/GH on the front.

They may be built by Farsports, but the current Farsports wheel being sold are 18 hole where as No6 are 20 hole. So they are different rims. Plus, the price is not "double". The 50mm Farsport wheels with CS bearings are $1700 Usd, while the No6 45/50, coming standard with Ceramic bearings are $1540 Usd.

The branding on those wheels is a ripoff of No.22 Bicycles in house composites brand, No.6 Composites. According to Mike Smith from No.6: "We launched our No.6 Composites brand in 2019 to start offering our forks and related components to other framebuilders, and it has grown to be a staple of our offerings on our bikes and those of small builders. The "No. 6" wheels knockoff brand was launched in China in 2024 by a former No. 22 dealer who blatantly copied our existing No. 6 branding. We ended our relationship with that dealer in January 2024, and they almost immediately knocked off our branding for use in their rebranded Farsports wheels. I'm sure there are better options from more reputable wheel brands available." You can find that comment under BikeRumoer's article on No. 22 Bicycles. He's right. The No.6 wheel "brand" is anything but reputable.

@@klein-concept I actually have been, just slowly. It's been powder coated white and now has a nearly complete Dura Ace 7700/7800 groupset. I found on eBay a Chinese company is finally making 1" threadless carbon forks; considering how difficult nice old 1" threaded or threadless forks are to find for 58cm frames, I'm going to try it to replace my steel fork, along with a Chis King or Cane Creek headset. There's also someone on there making titanium down tube shifter center bolts for old bikes.

I was riding a lot of carbon spoked wheels with 28mm tires and never had any issues of them being too uncomfortable. I think the frames had more of an impact on the overall ride feel 🤜🤛

@ their aluminum is nice but for the price points I think their titanium hits a really nice sweet spot of high value and high performance. At only $1000 more than their aluminum model it’s a no brainer in my opinion.

Best brake performance for me are the DT Swiss PR1400 Dicut Oxic and best lightweight wheelset being the Elitewheels Drive 50V 🤜🤛

Brisk Wheels do both disk and rim versions. I'm doing a sub 6kg Gen 2 SuperSix Evo build and am seriously tempted to go for a set of Ultralight!

Depending on where you are based at google might be your best choice to find where to buy them but I bought e.g. all the Darimo components on r2 bike hope this helps 🤜🤛
